Is there any decent information around about running PS VR without a PS4 Pro?
I can't really afford to get both right now. Am I going to have a crappy experience, do you think?

I don't think we've seen PS VR running on a pro. It's all been on the normal PS4 so if you like what you see already then you're set.

Plus games won't be allowed unless they're 60fps or above so you won't have a crappy experience as far as performance goes I don't think.

Every single thing that has been shown so far has been running on a standard ps4.

This idea that you need a pro to get a good experience with psvr is basically Bullshit since every positive experience out there has been on the standard ps4.

Just checked the battery in my two Move controllers and they've powered up and held charge just fine - money saved for games! I thought I was at least going to have to replace the batteries. So I'm all set for release day, holidays booked, games preordered, Rez theme up.

Indeed, every other thread always brings pre-order cancelled or just demos posts.

I feel like putting a warning on the OT about it but I think my OT will justify itself and become like this one.

My threads are always very informative ;)

Man oh man.. I just spent the afternoon playing on the Vive at some friend's friend.

I can't wait to play Raw Data again on PS4. I wonder how well it plays since it's pretty much required to turn around a whole lot.

It definitely was my favorite thing I played today.

But what showed the most potential was Vanishing Realm.. I really hope we get to see some similar games on PS VR. First Person dungeon action rpg adventures works really well in VR.

edit: Damn, Proton Pulse looks sweet.

I think in general everything you turn around in is not made for PSVR (or Rift for that matter).

Vive is just one step ahead with their tracking setup. For the occasional glancing back or looking what's happening behind you PSVR is okay, but if you find yourself 100% turned from the camera for a longer period of time it will run into tracking problems.

Yeah I know. I'm going to miss that with PS VR for sure. But it seems like they're releasing the game on PS anyway, so they probably got some sort of workaround I guess?

Maybe they will just have enemies come from 180 degrees instead of 360 degrees. No idea if that breaks the game.

And Battlezone. 4 way co-op sounds good, TSA played a chunk of the campaign with some of the dev team. Because of the tactical aspect of working out where on the hex map to go next there's some team decision making required. There are also various specialist roles, healer, tank, etc.

Should really be done, would've love playing with Gaf. Would be cool to finally hear some of you guys talk without waiting for a reply. I know my voice night suprise or annoy some of you guys.

A lot of us have annoying voices lol but I'd rather have some GAFmates to play with than randoms. I hate getting into Rocket League with a really annoying random, where I feel like that person's bad behavior is reflecting on me :/

I'm more likely to get Battlezone if I know I'll periodically have some people to co-op with ... I tend to like co-op more than competitive, anyway.

Good idea. Might be worth adding a timezone column to the spreadsheet, so we know who's up when.

For info, my timezone is 'very drunk'. AKA GMT/UTC. 00:45 in the morning.

Any word on getting experiences like that Twin Towers tightrope thing on the PS store. It was a demo made for the film launch events, surely it could be made available for us all to see?

Right. Well I'm in then.
I sold my Vive because there wasn't enough content, but there are several things I want to play on psvr at launch so let's go!

I believe EVE actually has cross play with PC.
