Pokemon Sun/Moon new info - Starter evolutions, Demo, Ash-Greninja

They sure can, and in fact did for the ORAS demo, therefore we got all the new Mega Pokemon leaked. Game Freak is probably going to be more careful this time around.
The mid evolutions all look great. I can see hints at their final forms as well, most notably in Brionne. Terrocat sure does look pretty muscular. Muscles... for fighting...
Festival Plaza looks like a more interactive online experience for sure. I'm curious about the missions. Do players actually set missions for others? The ones we saw were just "take me over here", I wonder if they can be more robust. Also there seems to be places where you can EV train. It says Pikachu's HP went up a lot at the bounce castle. I also wonder what kind of things you can buy. Perhaps we will have something similar to a secret base, or at least a house we can decorate?
Poke Pelago is another great feature. Finally, those box Pokemon can make themselves useful. There ALSO seems to be an EV training feature here as well. Game Freak is really going out of their way to give you options.
The QR teams sounds like a great feature, but I'm curious how it will be implemented. Can they just be used willy nilly in all battles? Or is there a special mode? Or do both players have to agree that one will use a rental team? And will there be a legendary ban like on battle spot? I hope we get more info on the details, but regardless it sounds like a great way to try out new strategies and Pokemon you may not have.
Ash Greninja... yup, he's in there. Though many people speculated that his inclusion would be a bigger deal and relate to syncho abilities with other Pokemon, or something called Z Forms. It really seems like Ash Greninja is a one off special thing and it won't be a major part of the story. Though who knows, there's obviously some crazy stuff going on with the Ultra Beasts so maybe "bonds" have a bigger role, but with other Pokemon.
This game is seriously shaping up to be the best Pokemon adventure yet. SIX WEEKS.

There's an upcoming episode in the anime called "Farewell Ash-Greninja" or something like that so going by the website and that episode, we can assume it's the same Greninja Ash had.

Why would we want to fight someone that constantly loses? It would be like reaching the end of Uncharted and having the final fight be against a three legged puppy. You'd just feel bad shooting it.

It REALLY didn't. Unless there's some obscure lore for it that I'm missing, I don't understand the transition from Wartortle to Blastoise. Definitely the most disappointing evolution transition of all the starters for me. I really like Wartortle's ears and tail
It's probably because of the Blastoise line that I'm never really surprised or that bothered by a starter's middle evo being very different from its final evo anymore haha.

You know what? This actually wouldn't surprise me. I could imagine the Sun/Moon anime being about how Ash's adventures in the Alola region lead to him becoming a Trial Captain or Kahuna or something like that lol
They may never allow Ash to win an actual Pokemon League, so maybe letting him study hard in school and becoming a Trial Captain is the next best thing

OK, seriously, Brionne is fuckin' ugly. I was gonna go with Popplio but, now that the leaks and THAT have been shown, I'm just gonna stick with Rowlet. At least I know it gets a smooth, standard evolution line.

Owl is hilarious, reminds me of Sanji for some reason. Cat is pretty dope, can't wait til it learns to walk on two legs. Popplio got even worse somehow.

Meh, the way I see it, there's always a chance the starters final evos look better when shown in motion with their 3-D models.
Kind of like how Alolan Marowak and Alolan Raichu didn't look that impressive when we saw their 2-D art, but then the trailer showed them in action, and suddenly they looked a whole lot better. Eelectross is another example of a Pokemon who's design came across a lot better when seen with its 3D model.
So, I'm gonna wait until I see the starter's final evos in a trailer before I really pass judgement on their designs. (This is of course assuming those leaks actually are the starter's final evos, which seems most likely at this point.)

Guys, remember that unlike megas, Ash-Greninja doesn't a mega-stone to evolve, depending on the stats boosts, it can really be devastating if you manage to pull off a kill.
And besides it probably doesn't eat a mega slot, I don't think it will be as good as a Protean Greninja but there is too much potential with this thing, not to mention you can combine it with a Z-Stone !

I'm surprised they didn't rework its lore. With the way this is phrased, it sounds like Ash-Greninja may be non-existent in the game canon. Unless the demo surprises us in some way.
In a sense, it seems that this form is indeed an "anime-only" thing... Except it also exists in the games mechanically.

will soon leave/be left behind by Ash in the anime. Maybe this same Greninja then joins the new trainer in the demo.

Brionne is freaking adorable and I don't really get how some of you guys think its the worst. Do some of you just hate anything too feminine or something? I think its nice that they are continuing what they did last gen by making one of the starter lines more girly. Not all pokemon have to be tough or cool loking, its ok to have some cute ones too!
