This one is HUGE. Lots of written content with images and a video inside!

It looks like Depth of Field and Screen Space Reflections are the heavier effects going from Ultra to Insane:

Wow, holy shit. Thanks for the link! Hoping this game goes way better than Forza Horizon 3! Sold my XBOX and upgraded my PC recently and I'm 1/2 on these XBOX games coming out on PC. Already got a refund for FH3, so I think I'll wait until after release for this one. This guide does instill hope though!

Just going to post a specific picture from the guide here as it may interest many people:

Elephant in the room - how it performs:

TL;DR @ Ultra:

1080p60fps = GTX 1060
1440p60fps = GTX 980Ti / 1070
4K60fps = Titan X Pascal

A GTX 950 gives you locked 30fps with significantly better visuals than the console version.

I just hope it's not a cluster F that Horizon 3 is. I'm becoming less and less optimistic about PC games (at launch at least) b/c of the recent under performing games.

Awesome. Looks like I should be set in 1080p on my 970/4790k. :D

Errrrr, have they released the settings that Xbox runs at?
FH3 for example on Xbox runs at High, not significantly worse than maxed out. I doubt Gears 4 on Ultra 1080p/30 will look significantly better, judging by how FH3 was handled.

Gonna be playing this on a GTX960M. I have a dell inspiron 15 gaming laptop i7-6700HQ Processor. Anyone else here planning on playing on that? How many frames am I looking at to make it playable??

And it's a 950 paired with a i7 4790, not the poor jagar that the consoles have.

Those graphs are a bit confusing to me. The first one shows a 1440p at insane dof settings averaging below 40fps. But the other graph (scaled resolutions) at 1440p all insane settings shows the 1080 averaging above 50fps?

Excellent news. If I can get 60fps on my GTX1060 @ 1080p, I'll be very happy.

Still won't buy it until this has all been confirmed by consumers though

I'm confused are they saying over 60fps is impossible at 1440p even with low DOF?!

Not having read anything, I'm assuming all other settings are maxed and the performance difference with DoF on ultra or low is not just very big and is not the thing that holds back the overall performance.

I knew this wasn't the mess that forza was, I played this at pax West on PC and it ran perfectly, glad to see it still holds up.

I've seen both the xbox version and ultra PC.

didn't the giant bomb guy Jeff(?) play the PC ver and had good things to say about it? At least I think it was him.

I love it when Nvidia does these performance guides, helps out a lot, for example it tells me to ignore Insane DOF and screenspace reflections.

Reminds me of Tweak Guides. Loved that side.

!?!?!?!?

Different developers, different engines. All these games aren't running through a single developer in the exact way that they don't on a console.

Haven't kept up with UWP shenanigans lately but I just came into possession of a second GTX 970 for peanuts. Anything on SLI support?

I don't even have Windows 10 yet but I'm planning a new build very soon. This could end up being one of the driving factors for that upgrade.

No idea for SLI but I don't recommend SLI in general. Always go for one powerful card.

This is looking like a beastly port. Holy schmoly.

I appreciate the ability to tank the performance with the "insane" setting for a few effects.

It was more about the game itself. He said it looked nice and was happy to play Gears with higher framerates. :)

My 1060 is ready (for when I can find the game at a decent price!). Thinking my i5-4670k will knock the framerate down some though, but hopefully will get 60fps!
