Ok, so who is definitely getting the Rivals expansion?(Xbox) If you are and you're interested in joining a GAF crew please reply with your GT, and add me as a friend as well (PROh1bited).

I'll send you an invite when the game is out. It's up to 10 people per group, so if there's more, someone else can start up another GAF crew.

If anybody on the PS4 side wants to start one up, go on ahead.

Would any Xbox One users want to add me? We have Rockband night every Thursday prior to going to karaoke and exactly one other person on my friends list plays so the whole score/leaderboard thing doesn't really work.

I'll be up for that. If the pre-order ever turns up on PSN, that is. TheShiftayOne is my PSN name. As for the OT idea, it might be worth a shot. There's only, like, 10 of us who frequently check this topic but that's what new topics are for, and this is essentially Rock Band 4: Year 2. New modes, interface, instruments (and manufacturer), an awareness for Rival groups and the future online mode. Other games have probably got new OTs for less.

Alright, I placed my Amazon pre-order for the Rivals Band bundle tonight. I'm ready for the 18th! I look forward to having a second guitar again as well as a fully functional drum set. I've been sitting on my RB3 cymbals for 6 years!

I bought the legacy adapter not long after it launched and have yet to unpack my old drums to test it. And here I am, thinking of ordering the Rivals bundle with new drums. But that means I need new cymbals...

This is just crazy. Like, I could, in theory, blame the lack of release of the back DLC in SCEE on Harmonix. I wouldn't, but I could. But I just don't see what's going on that they can't get an expansion that technically doesn't come bundled with the songs released?

Kotaku have published an article raising attention of the DLC plight, if not really mentioning the complete details of what's missing, as well as that recent post pointing out that Rivals doesn't even have a date anymore. Given that bundles apparently have a code for Rivals in the box of the physical edition, either we're going to have tons of complaints come the 18th when the codes don't work or a delay is going to have to be announced soon.

On the bright side, at least the patch hits on the 18th. You get to look at the pretty, non- functional rivals menu for a while before you play your incomplete Jane's Addiction collection.

I've been having a hell of a time trying to find the answer to this question, so I figured I would ask here. If anyone has a better idea of where I could get an answer please let me know. So here's the question:

Is there currently a way that I can get the content from Rock Band 1, 2 and 3 into Rock Band 4 on either PS4 or Xbox One if I have never played Rock Band 1, 2 or 3 on the previous gen systems, but I currently own the discs? I played a ton of Rock Band 1, 2 and 3 in college/grad school but always on my roommate's xbox 360, so I don't have a personal profile that has ever played them, but I have a lot of sentimental attachment to those songs, especially ones like Green Grass and High Tides that isn't available as standalone DLC to buy. I currently own Rock Band 4 on PS4, and it doesn't look like I can buy the Rock Band 1 export key anymore as far as I can tell. But it looks like the Rock Band 1 export key is still purchaseable on xbox store? I would honestly be willing to re-buy Rock Band 4 for Xbox One if it meant being able to import the old games, but I don't want to buy the game and peripherals again unless it is a sure thing, so I was hoping someone knew for sure. I would also be willing to re-buy copies of the old games if that is necessary too, though I do have used copies of all 3 older games for both PS3 and Xbox 360 that I randomly got over the years.

tl;dr: Any way to get Rock Band 1,2,3 songs into Rock Band 4 having never played the older games or bought export keys in the past?

The only thing you can still export is RB3. You have to have played it on your profile and gotten a trophy/achievement.

The others have since expired.

I'll also have to stream me express-logging thousands of new bass scores.. lol

Went to the PSN store (US), and I can only pre-order Rivals with the full game? It's $60. I thought HMX was going to sell the add on separately? For the life of me, I can't find just the add on by itself.

Don't know Honey I'm Good, but I'll probably pass on Treat You Better. I don't mind the song, but I don't really need it anyway. Stitches 4 lyf.

Still, can't believe that RB4 is over a year old. Time flies. It's missing a bit, but due to the fact that it doesn't boot you to the XMB whenever I try to play practice mode it's by default a better game than RB3.

It's had a rough run, and I'm still missing a couple of hundred songs but let's focus on the bits that still work. Favourite songs? Biggest surprises?

I said it over 6 months ago but I think Rock Band 4 should have launched a year after it did. And here we are, a year later. With the Rivals update, online play coming, music library enhancements, refreshed UI and most the exports sorted out, this is the state/condition I would have preferred Rock Band 4 to launch in.

But, but I have had so much fun with it already. Honestly I get your point but what are you going to do? At this point Rock Band is just going to be a niche market and we are going to have to pay more for less to keep it a float and I am totally ok with that.
