Upcoming Vita Games (200+ Upcoming games in ENGLISH) || 2016 Edition ||

I feel like we've been on the down part of the Vita rollercoaster for a while, and now we're back on the incline with things going well like Oceanhorn announced; Hyper Light Drifter maybe saved and now Stardew Valley at maybe too.

I'm expecting it to all come crashing down again, but I'll enjoy the optimism for now :p

As a side note, I'm wondering what made him finally publically say 'maybe' to it at this point nearly 7 months after a big old Twitter campaign and 4 months after the announcement post being flooded with requests for Vita.

Like, what changed? Sickhead were always doing the console port and they have heaps of experience on Vita. Maybe Gio got involved or something *shrug*.

Anyway, I'm not complaining, because Vita is really missing life sims and it's looking like Wild Season is never coming. Stardew Valley would be an ace addition to the lineup.

Maybe it won't change anything but if more email them, it may give them more confidence to pursue harder for Vita version in west. (I am Setsuna)

Thank you very much for your mail.
We will continue the discussion on the Vita version launch for the Western market with the team in Square Enix America and Europe.
We thank you very much for your understanding.

My Vita is almost dead - yesterday it didn't want to wake up from sleep but I still managed to start it after few tries and now it completely refuses to start - only sign of life is orange light from PS button when i connect charger.

I've tried looking for new one but Sony is really doing a shitty job here - i only found new ones in few shops and prices are ridiculous.

Crap I was going to ask my friend to buy me one from Japan when he will be there in November but no way I'm staying without one for whole month.
Amazon? eBay? Other online shops?

Well this is weird, I wonder why Play-Asia is delaying the release for a whole month then. Possibly it's a second print? Then I wonder why was I thrown in the next shipment when I ordered it in August? Hmm..

HA told me their release date is 10/11 so hopefully mine still ships from them soon.

Does anyone know if the Asia physical release's English localization of Dragon Quest Builders is equivalent to the NA/EU PSN release?

I've found an excellent import store and I'm wondering if I should take that plunge...

In all but one case of Asian English releases I have experienced across the PS3, PS4 and Vita, has the localization has been identical. It's almost guaranteed to be because companies don't like wasting money or pissing off their customers.

Can anyone in the EU help me enter the God Eater code at www.dlc-god-eater.com?
I fill out the form but nothing happens when I hit confirm. Maybe the website is checking my IP?

It's supposed to give you a PSN code. Appreciate if anyone can help me out.

Yes, nothing there I'm afraid.
I don't even get a confirmation that it was redeemed. I hit "Confirm" at the bottom and it just acts like nothing happens. I've tried 4 browsers, 2 computers, and a phone.

Just making sure - you did check the small checkbox at the end? I already used my code but, when I tried just now, instead of nothing happening another window opened with an error (obviously).

Could always contact Bamco if this continues.

Why is ys still only available in Japan? :(

Falcom are jerks, that's why. They usually don't share assets of their games until couple months after their Japanese launch. That's why we're getting Tokyo Xanadu so late.

I hope Aksys are the ones who bring Vita version to west. Screw XSEED, I don't want anything from them. they're getting worse and worse every year. It took them literally a year to bring a port of a game they have previously localized; Corpse Party 3DS. I'm still waiting for it.

Just grabbed Shiren and its a lot of fun. Always overlooked the series.

To be fair i bet Corpse Party 3ds is not a high priority, its already on psp/vita and steam. And all 3 versions slightly differ so its not just a matter of slapping on the text and call it a day. Also they gave us the Cold Steel games in less than a year, i'd cut them some slack. They could release nothing else this year and they'd done more than enough imo.

They aren't jerks, they just shifted focus on what games they want to localize (and what platforms they want to bring games too).

If you are worried about us not getting the Vita version of the new Ys game in NA/EU, don't worry; it runs well and the series did well on the PS Vita when MoC released. Sure, we will have to wait until the PS4 port comes out before localization starts but I wouldn't worry about us not playing Ys on Vita next year/2018.

Aksys isn't about to get an Ys game after Xseed has shown over the past few years just how successful it is under their name.

I may also question why they dropped Vita like a rock in terms of exclusives, but I'm not about to shit on them when they've been bringing Trails over and want to continue doing so. I will take a single Trails game over just about anything else they could have potentially picked up, so it matters little to me if they drop the ball in some regards, yet continue with Trails.

I'd also say it's a very safe bet to say that Corpse Party 3ds has been finished for months at this point, yet they're waiting for Halloween because the sales potential then is greater than it is during the original summer date it could have hit. For a game as niche as Corpse Party (especially with this being the 3rd release of it), you really can't fault them for wanting to see as many sales as possible from it.

It hasn't even been out three months yet in Japan, and XSEED took over a year to localize the last Ys game. They're probably not going to bring the Vita version over until the PS4 one is done anyway, and that doesn't have a Japanese release date yet even.

Yeah when I asked like last year ago they said they were focusing on Tales of Zestiria but now they refused it directly. After skipping Digimon I don't see any chance of it being localized. Such a shame though, would love another Tales on my Vita.

Yeah, kinda really sucks. Hiw expensive woukd it be to import the English translations into the Vita version and license it for NA/EU distribution? Even digitally or through LRG?

Surely, they would make their money back. This confuses me about Tales of Vesperia as well. How expensive would it have been to import the English code into the PS3 version and release in EU/NA.

I maybe wrong but didn't MS pay for the localization? I got it on Xbox 360 and haven;t played it yet. waiting for XB1 BC.

There was new content in the PS3 version.

Nah, it was just Bamco being weird. The best thing we can hope for is a ps4 port in a year or two - maybe for the game's anniversary in 2018?

Too much to translate though? Can't be that much time/money since the assets are already there.

I'd be game with that. It would give them some extra time to polish up their next installment.

The problem isn't the translation, it's the VA. They're not getting Troy Baker again. It would definitely need more work than something like Symphonia.
