■ Enhanced gameplay - Support for faster frame rates delivers super-sharp action.

Glad to see 'em pushing this on the box. Please deliver, Devs - ambitious games like BF1 deserve a definitive, smooth running console version. Framerate > Faux K

Debating about changing my pre-order from Amazon to a walk-in store. Decisions!

If my walk-in store wasn't an hour away, I would definitely do that. But I really don't feel like driving an hour just to go pick up the console (when I already have my PS4 sitting at home). So I'm letting the Pro come to me. :p

Check for dual voltage, please...
I don't think a retailer is going to open up a PS4 Pro that they shouldn't even be taking pictures of to check the power supply, but you can rest assured it's dual voltage. All PS4 models are even if that's not officially the case.

Oh man, I can't wait! Just seeing the box is pretty exciting. LOL Rez Infinite in 4K60 will definitely be up first for me.

What's the greatest console box of all time? I'm pretty fond of the PS2

Just a big ol' blue box

PS2 box is the king. No competition.

I noticed Google, MS, Apple just launched their new 2016 lineup and all coming in at higher prices, pretty impressive Sony kept the Pro at 399 even with its significant specs upgrade. To be fair, if they could, Sony would have Pro at a higher SRP...

Still it underlines Sony understanding of the market and their intention to keep Pro as a traditional gen console. It is this down-to-earth #4thegamers low-key approach that they've succeeded, and they are honestly wanting to stay true to that ethos.

Good job SIE!
Unleash the Pro!

Mine is preordered through my store, for in-store pickup. No shipping, I'm just going to take it home with me after my shift that day, haha. Unless we announce a midnight release for it out of my location, then I'll take it home that night.

And with my Best Buy card, double points. Booyah.

time to take my meds
Taking 3 days off of work. 4k tv ready. So hyped.

11 DAYS!

Hopefully dbrand can sell some skins of these soon. I have a white Japanese ps4 and I'd like to stick with that color too.
Yeah i await the dbrand skins as well. My ps4 i traded in was somehow all scratched up. Not my on pro...

Unfortunately it will probably be a while. They havent even started ps4 slim skins.

You know you're going to take it home the day they come into the store.

Man I can't wait for this. Not long now.

This and the classic minis should do me good until the switch release.

Damn it's getting close.. Time to trade in my OG PS4 before the value plummets. I'll live, I have other platforms.

Thanks for the response.

I know all previous Playstations are dual voltage, I've been taking advantage of that fact for years (had to buy a separate power brick for 360) but the playstation website continues to list the the Pro specs with single voltage (with regular on dual). I'm nearly sure it's a long uncorrected typo but I'd love to know 100%

(also I thought the power ratings might be on the box and not necessitate opening one up)

Seeing these game boxes makes the Pro feel more real than it ever has. Can't belive this thing is coming in just several weeks.

You can support higher resolutions as well as higher FPS you know...GPU generally has little to do with FPS in CPU bound games like BF1 is.

That CPU upclock is going to help regardless of whether or not they increase the res to a locked 1080p or above

I struggled with this very debate. Once I determined that I was getting the PS4 Pro, it became a no brainer. The ONLY benefit would be to pay no sales tax, but now most states have forced Amazon to comply.

Soon you'll be able to retire from what seems like a nearly full time job of explaining what the thing does. (hopefully anyway)

Fair play.

I think I recall you saying that you weren't buying one but Sony should certainly give you one for all your efforts.

I wonder why there is no game bundle yet (only announcements of upcoming games that will support it on the box itself).

Because they're letting the console sell on its own vanilla merits at launch first?

If they think there won't be any demand shortfall despite having no bundle, that only allows them to introduce a bundle next year that comes together with a game that makes Pro more appealing.

I don't know why it's showing like that on the website. Boxes are just region appropriate, which is why you can't rely on those. If you were to check an UK box, it'd show a different voltage than the one for US etc. You have to check the power supply inside. But I've used one in three different continents. You don't have to worry; it works fine.

Are you importing? Or do you travel with it or something?
