What?

Anyways, yes, this game is graphically amazing. Can't wait to play it in person, hands on impressions have been great.

Really pumped to see how the PS4 Pro helps out IQ. Hopefully we get some nice SS.

Looking good, had my eye on it since they announced it. Here's hoping they push that Pro version to the max. Give me all the pixels.

I have a feeling it's going to be linear, extremely scripted and very short.

Hoping I'm wrong. The more dinosaurs in VR, the better!

Eagerly awaiting reviews (and DF PS4/Pro comparisons). This game has the potential to not only sell lots of PSVR, but Pro as well.

Would be more stunning if it supported the PS Move controllers at launch.

I'm not playing that with a controller.

:\

Now what's the next step in your master plan?

Its a lot less linear than I ever expected. I originally it was basically an on the rails tourist game where you just travel through incredible dinosaur filled environments but you can actually moved around and interact with things even in a minor way.

I was wondering the same but there is no directional pad on the Move controller. There is with the navi controller but no PSVR dev seems to want to work with that combination.

It would be nice if it was an option.

I mentioned this already, but for the sake of the thread: My Gamescom demo back in August was amazing, and very likely the most beautiful PSVR experience I have seen to date.

I'm intrigued by this. It looks great in screenshots, but a friend tried it at EGX and came away incredibly disappointed by the IQ. I've not had any particular issue with PSVR IQ, so it could just be down to an individual's tastes.

£54.99 is way too much. I bet it's only like a 5 hour game, if you really take your time. I'll probably take a look in a year's time if everyone says it's good.

I saw a comparison video between Polygon's demo video and what they showed at E3 2015 for this game. Not sure how the final product will be, but uh, it definitely looks...different than what is shown.

I know a game demonstration can be vastly different from first showings, and I'm not sure how that Polygon footage was recorded. Just something I saw.

Edit:
Full Polygon demo (youtube compression and all that, also unfinished code).

It's very weird because the protag is holding a Move like controller. I wonder if this started development as a motion control VR game? It wasn't always a PSVR exclusive, right?

Lack of move support is so crazy when you consider the player character holds something that looks like a move throughout the game.

Looks awesome as it is, with the Pro patch though...

Will be patched, read a dev interview in EDGE but sucks that is not day one. Reason according to dev: not every PSVR owner, owns Moves. Strange reason if you ask me. Should have supported both.

It's more like an FPS though, so you need a controller that you can use to move your character through an environment (with a thumbstick).

Perhaps people are concerned navigation support is targetting a niche (owns psvr) of a niche (and move)of a niche (and a nav controller) as a step too far.

I wonder if anyone has considered using a move in one hand and a DS4 in the other for movement.

I played a demo at a PSVR event last month and found it pretty impressive. Visuals were good (not great) but the most impressive thing was the sense of scale and the animation on the dinosaurs - specifically the pterodactyls. The way they moved and the sense of motion and physics looked great. The demo made me feel a bit sick though, as you spend a lot of time high up in treetops and I spent ages looking down and around which messed with my balance.

Have a feeling I'm going to be quoting Jurassic Park all night playing this game tonight. :D

Looks great and all, but I'm not gonna pay full price (that's what it's listed as in the European PSN and local stores) for a 4 or 5 hour game, no matter how pretty it is.

This game is PS4 PRO compatible out of the box.
Crytek and Cryengine being the powers behind this it will certainly look very pretty.

It's cool that it has the same climbing gameplay from Crytek's "The Climb" which released in May for Oculus (receiving really good reviews).

I have a feeling this game is going to be quite blurry on OG PS4.

You're feelings are wrong. Folks that have played it on PS4 OG say it's the best looking PSVR game.

It's cool that it has the same climbing gameplay from Crytek's "The Climb" which released in May for Oculus (receiving really good reviews).

It might be worth the price of admission just for that and the sense of scale and the feeling of looking at huge dinosaurs like you are there. It seems quite cheap considering.

yep.

first everyone get's hyped as shit and then they're mad as fuck when their unrealistic expectations (fueled by the usual PR bullshit) aren't met.

No man sky says hello.

Having said all that I really do hope this turns out to be good.

Definitely took advantage of the $32+ tax price from Amazon Prime. Really looking forward to Eagle Flight and this next week.

Best Buy isn't showing it available for pickup until the 11th at any local stores or any not-so local ones either, so people saying theirs has it for sale is perplexing to me. I might have to drop in to my local store on my way home, maybe their website is just plain wrong.

Judging by all the VR games I have played, it's probably very linear, very short and has very simple gameplay. Hopefully it's not but wait for reviews.

I played it at Gamecom on PSVR and had to fight immediate nausea when moving with the left stick. The set pieces and scale were truly impressive though.

I'm more hesitant in that I'd get very ill with this game. I just outright assumed you teleport for locomotion, as that is the one (near) guaranteed way to mitigate motion sickness. First person moving probably means under a minute flat before myself and a huge number of other people get nauseous and sick.

Unless there is a teleport option I've just not heard about?
