Agree. Just thought that Amnesia saw a significantly steeper drop than all of their other titles meant it underperformed. Maybe not.

even if they did sell all 58k units at $3, that's well over $100k in revenue for ifi. at the very least it probably covers the porting cost and any overhead. if that is the minimum amount they made, then they probably turned a small profit at the very least.

Some means more than one, which is great. I wonder why NISA never attempted to do an otome before.

when nis does uta no prince-sama, it really boggles the mind. you'd think that would get priority over stuff like... neptunia pp or mugen souls z.

UtaPri is major, it'd be the biggest otome to ever get localized in terms of recognition. I'll never understand some of NISA's decisions over the years.

But I thought the deal with UtaPri was that the brand was super expensive, just like most idols games, which we don't get.

I can't respond to it for the company, but personally, I would love to see Uta no Prince-sama over here. It could very well be another successful Western franchise for us. Without saying too much about the internal workings of the company, I can say that a lot of the discussion about whether or not we bring a game over is about available resources. Much of the time, we don't want to pass up a localization opportunity, we just don't have what we need at the time to get it done, and get it done with quality. We've gotta catch lightning in a bottle sometimes. But it's on our radar, that's for sure!

At least that's more assuring :p.

So I am thinking to pick up Trails of Cold Steel 2 today when it releases in EU. It's my last attempt to find something I want to play on my Vita so I hope it's good.

Did you play trails of cold steel 1? it's a direct sequel, starts exactly where 1 ended. I wouldn't recommend playing 2 without having played 1

Nah, I was looking at it but I'm really not feeling the whole high school thing especially after getting burnt on Persona. I read there will be some kind of written catch up thing so hopefully that will do the trick.

It won't. Don't play 2 without 1. It's less of sequel and more two parts of one game.

Can only repeat what has been said above. 2 should definitely NOT be played without 1.

Nope. You'll have no idea what's going on. CS 1 & 2 are more like one game. The story and the characters are where the game shines - the significance of both will be utterly lost on you if you don't play the first part.

Oh man. I'm really not feeling the whole high school drama thing; is it a major focus in the first game?

It really depends what you dislike about it. The school is used for character interaction and development, which is a major part of the game. You CAN skip almost all of it and just do the required quests, but then you'd miss half the game and what makes it good. And the characters don't suddenly age 10 years between the games, they're still highschoolers in 2.

It's much less high school drama than persona though.

An UtaPri localization could be really big if they market it properly. I've watched all of the anime so far and would buy the games if they localized them.

I hope we get a sick Mary Skelter LE. That will be the first IF LE I buy

I'd expect the usual artbook/soundtrack from them and maybe a lewd wallscroll or something, because whatever any extras beyond the first 2 would be, you can bet it's going to be lewd with this game. I would say we'd get what Japan got, but we never get drama cds in LEs here and whatever that "special book" is, I don't think it's a normal artbook.

Hello guys.

Happy that Idea Factory made announcements that we are all happy with :D! Looking forward to the two Vita projects a lot.

And I want to appoligize for not publishing content on 3WIREL (articles and reviews) the past few days. ......Honestly upset with recent events and needed to cool-down. But, feel better now and I will get to work this weekend getting a lot of stuff published on the site!

Reviews, a preview and two interviews are going to be releasing on the site in the future. Just glad to be surrounded positive forces like you guys, my friends on Twitter, my family and my professors at Adelphi. Thank you all for the support the past year.

Only during the first game and it's barely there.

Hmmm... okay maybe I'll pick up the first one then. I just watched a review and he also addressed the high school issue and said it's not too bad. Also it's a military academy so that should count for something.

It's still a lot of anime highschoolers doing anime highschooler things, but even if you dislike it, it's so worth it. Don't be discouraged by the very tropey characters in the beginning, it'll get better.

The strongest characters are in the supporting cast you'll meet throughout the game and most are adults

How's the Vita version of X-COM? It's currently on sale on the NA PSN.

I've actually never played it. Is it a gimped version compared to console/PC?

Guess I'm going to find out.

Played about 15 mins today while waiting for my dinner and it seems pretty great. Graphics are great for Vita, combat seems really deep. Looking forward to playing more. Was a bit annoyed when they brought my food to be honest ha ha.

Any more news on Assault Android Cactus, Papers, Please or Volgarr the Viking for Vita?

Volgarr seems to be coming very soon. It wasn't in next week's The Drop though so he was probably a little optimistic. Dunno about the other two but I have not seen anything about a cancellation.

Not really gimped but it has long load times and some performance issues. Playable if you need a portable version but look up some gameplay first to see if you agree.

I'm expecting a PSX release as well, but I'm half wondering whether they'll release it just before PSX so they can reveal Samurai Shodown V Special or whatever's next at the conference.

But hey, at least little Vita might get mentioned again this year!

don't count on vita. vita died so that ps vr could live (and also die)

Heh.

In the nicest possible way, I hope you're counting out Vita from your natural pessimism, not your "I know people from NISA" side.

Honestly, I don't expect anything From Vita at Sony conferences anymore, but a tiny part of me wishes for Gio to be allowed on stage and at least mention it and a couple of games that he's still got teams working on for it.

I wouldn't hope for any more than extensions of what's already happened (I.e. Another SNK game and maybe something like Late Croft Go), but it'd be sad if that stuff stopped now.

Probably just wishful thinking on my part. But hey, at least Banner Saga and Full Throttle are still happening next year.
