While it's better to be spoiled knowingly than accidentally, I'm really looking forward to this game and would rather not get the story spoiled.... but with so much time to go I might end up being spoiled anyway. Argh

I still have school once this game releases so realistically I won't really be able to really play until mid December (maybe even later) and it's usually always hard for me to resist looking at spoilers. :/

If I didn't care about the game, and was just into the meta game of which way public opinion will break on release, then I would go spoiler hunting to get a head start on narrative generation.

Since I do, even though Gaf is pretty safe, maybe I'm playing with fire by not going totally dark.

I find the concept of wanting to play this, and then wanting to be spoiled 10 days in advance absolutely crazy

Like, I get people who aren't that bothered about spoilers in general, or aren't that interested in the game. But people who can't wait 10 days after a 10 year wait? Lunatics, I tell you.

I stopped caring about plot point spoilers the moment the leaks were confirmed.

I do still care about context, though, so I'm not watching any videos showing stuff I already know about. I want to experience them for myself. Also didn't watch the World of Wonder videos.

???

The commercial could easily have endgame footage. And it looks like it does.

Yes. That 3 second clip of footage in a 15 second commercial that does not provide us with any context or meaning could very well be from the ending of the game.

Really? This is what spoiler culture has been reduced to?

I wish the street date would be broken more. Some long-ish travel plans came up so I leave before the game comes out. I could always buy locally whenever it comes out but European game prices are ridiculous :(

FFXV's been making people go nuts since midway through George W Bush's second term as President of the United States of America...!

Could've been playing Pokémon right now to pass the time, but it's not out in EU yet... These 10 days are going to be painful.

I don't want to be anywhere near spoilers but wouldn't mind some spoiler-free impressions of the game's structure post-demo areas. Still nothing like that, huh?

Yeah, and I'd still like to know if there aren't some more big, open environments after you've crossed the ocean to Altissia.
Looks more and more like there actually aren't. I'd be really disappointed if they really already have shown all there is to the open world.

Wait, really? What's the word on this?

As Bobby Roberts used to say, it's not a culture. Don't legitimize it by using that phraseology. It's an irrational phobia, plain and simple.

Haven't read the whole thread, but has the map of the open world map been out yet? Really want to know how big the open world is.

Or as said above, whether there are other open areas/towns/cities other than the ones we've been shown already.

Well, Tabata said the second half would be more linear.

Tabata backpedaled its more towards the end of the game...but then Edge and Verendus both implied the change in the game world happens at about the halfway mark of the game and crossing over to Altissia is apparently the halfway mark. Before I calculated it is more like 1/3 of the game, which would have made room for some more open regions.

That is exactly what we are still wondering right now. ;)

The fact that no one so far came out and said: "Hey, no worries, there is more! :D" is probably our answer. :/

I was spoiled this in one of the streams last night regarding the locations and structure of the game, but I don't know if it's legit since I bailed out when I saw it. Warning, spoiler of the game structure and location list:

1st act in Lucis, completely open world: Leide, Duscae & Cleigne
Altissia has its own map
2nd act in Terraverde, closed big areas connected by train: Accordo, Solheim, Niflheim, Tenebrae
3rd act in "the world after" or something like that, very linear
Ending in Insomnia.

Answering to your question without spoiling everything else, it seems like
there are big enviroments after Altissia but they are not connected, you need to take the train to travel within these regions. The game areas become smaller as you progress through the story.

I repeat: this could be bullshit since I doubt anyone has completed the game yet and as soon as I saw this person start posting spoilers, I closed the stream.
