No need to wait for the good stuff to start, each eleven-minute episode jumps in with lightning-paced action and heroics. Whether defending the Earth, facing invaders from space, or battling the bizarre forces of magic, the always-rotating team of Justice League heroes, are up to any challenge."

Unlike previous shows though, the episodes will be made up of 2-11 minute segments that is light on story-telling and heavy on action. It also has a bit more light-heartedness to it.

We've had the first four or five episodes already air here in the UK and I've really enjoyed the episodes I've seen thus far. I believe Patton Oswalt voices
Space Cabbie
and Mark Hamill is
SwampThing
.

Spoilered because I know how sensitive people get about stuff that hasn't aired yet. I'll write a detailed break down of thoughts if anyone is interested.

Although it skews younger than the original Batman Animated Series it's still lots of fun and worth a gander.

is this show (2) 11 minutes episodes back to back like adventure time to fill out the half hour or is it just 11 minutes that im gonna have to try to get my DVR to record at some hour?

Seen all the previews and rhus far really looking forward to it. Looks like good fun, but nothing groundbreaking (not that it needs to be).

<3 Wonder Woman's design. Best one I've ever seen of her.

In a cartoon? Yeah.

Unfortunately, those heels are a non-starter for me. Easily my most hated character designs detail.

Iv seen all the episodes so far and its a letdown.
Voices are great though.
I'd be interested in hearing more detailed thoughts from both of you

So far, I'm enjoying it.

Well right now it's 2 back to back, but from I see of the European airing... seems like don't necessarily air them in a "Block" so like you'll get Ep 1/2 on Sat, then ep 1/3 on Sunday then next week may be 3/4..it's weird

I saw the first 3 episodes and really enjoyed it. It does aim a little younger but I love that the show uses soo much of DC's more obscure characters and seemingly follows a different set of characters every episode.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
My recorder has the premiere episode as Shazam Slam and it runs for an hour.

That can't be right. Are they running more episodes on that day?

Its an hour long special to kick off the series.

The series does has continuity I saw the episodes out in Europe and one of them refers to the un aired shazam episode and sets up an arc for the season.

This is pretty good. Definitely skews young and that harms it in some areas--mostly the jokes, and the entire 'breathing in space' thing.

Saw the space cab and the firestorm one.

They are both fun but .... it feels kinda nothingness.

Is this action for action sense ?

It's her hair and outfit that do it for me. Never liked totally behind the head hair WW had, and never been a fan of her costume design. This one works perfectly though, IMO.

Not a fan of the heels either (who the fuck would ever want to fight in heels?), but that's just standard WW fare, so I'll let it slide.

Yes. Don't go in expecting Batman: TAS or even OG Teen Titans. It's 11 minute action shorts with little overarching plot. That may change with time (who knows), but for now that's what it is.

I came in expecting Teen Titans Go and I am still disappointed.

They could do better stories than that

Triple post, but everyone's fears come true. Show will be slotted in at 730 a.m.and worse it seems like one eleven minute episode a week

Man, I didn't even know that DC Comics had a character like Space Cabbie, but from what I saw in his debut episiode, he seems pretty likable. However, this guy should belong in a Science Fiction series from the 1950's, which is what I assume is where he was from originally?

Watched the Space Cabbie episode... didn't care for it but I could see how it would appeal to the Brave and the Bold fans.

Watched the Superman & Wonder Woman vs
Parasite vs Magma Alien
episode, was ok (felt like something was missing) but I can see how it would appeal to old JLU fans.

Overall, not a bad attempt for 11 min episodes that seem to cover the tastes of both fan bases. Time will tell if it can find a happy middle ground. I guess there's no going back to a 30 min Timm/Dini superhero, so I'll be satisfied with this.

Episodes 1(Parasite), 5 (Joker), and 6 (Chronos) are all fairly tightly written, but are given enough room to breathe.

If the writers write more like those, this show can be something special. Certainly a much better use of 11 minutes than Teen Titans Go.

That said, I think we can expect a fairly large amount of duds if the writers intend to pump these out at any significant rate.

Watched the first several episodes. So far, the show has been very enjoyable. It has a decent balance between using popular and obscure characters, and has a good amount of fun and humor.

Nuclear Family Values, Galaxy Jest and Time Share
are the best ones, So far.

PR on the first week eps

Seems like this Shazam Business will be the only serialized part of season 1 so far

JUSTICE LEAGUE ACTION: SHAZAM SLAM! (TV-Y7-FV)
Premieres Friday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. (ET/PT)

The villainous Black Adam battles Batman on the Rock of Eternity and unleashes a horde of Djinn determined to turn the Earth back to its pre-human, volcanic state. Affected by the otherworldly powers of these primordial monsters, Batman becomes possessed and is turned into a giant flying Batmonster laying waste to the Hall of Justice, with only Superman capable of taking the fight to the Dark Knight. One by one, the Justice League - with the help of Shazam (voiced by Sean Astin) and The Wizard (voiced by Carl Reiner) - must hunt down and defeat each Djinn in order to yet again save the world from destruction.

JUSTICE LEAGUE ACTION (TV-Y7-FV)
Series premieres with 4-part special Friday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. (ET/PT)
New episodes begin Saturdays, Dec. 24 at 7:30 a.m (ET/PT)

The world’s greatest Super Heroes return to television in Justice LeagueAction, an all-new animated series. Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman lead the DC Super Heroes against their most infamous foes in adventures packed with relentless thrills, fun and action. Whether defending the Earth, facing invaders from space, or battling the bizarre forces of magic, the always-rotating team of Justice League heroes, are up to any challenge.

Saturday, Dec. 24: “Classic Rock” – Batman thinks he’s helping a homeless old man who is being mugged on the street only to discover that the man is a powerful wizard being chased by demons in disguise. It turns out the wizard is on a mission to save Shazam from the clutches of Black Adam.

Saturday, Dec. 31: “Power Outage” – A ghoul known as Calythos possesses the Parasite in order to drain the Justice League of its powers and use that stolen strength to open a massive volcano.

So far I like this, aims a bit young but not insultingly so. I hate the 7:30 am time slot, why can't they just put this on their weekly time slot.
