That reminds me, I noticed Iron Man aped warmachine's old quote.

Well, Tony says "Here's my best." instead.

And what was that standing missle move he fired in the extended trailer? Almost looked like a reference to MCU WarMachine's Ex-Wife. Or it could be in reference to that scene in the first Iron Man movie.

There are ways around that, like building the transformations from a generic model, rather than from scratch. In Capcom Fighting JAM, they made the actual blood sucking happen off-screen, covering it with Demitri's cape, which made it so they didn't need to animate the victim being grabbed and drained. In a 3d game, the grabbing animation wouldn't be an issue though.

Regarding the controversial aspect of transforming the Marvel characters, they could just make the animation more ambiguous - like rather than a flower turning the opponent in a girl, we could get Demitri's cape covering the opponent, with the girl being there afterwards - leading to the blood/energy absorption animation, and another cape motion to close things and bring back the actual character.

It's also merged with what seems to be Asgard.

Storm => Scarlet Witch
Sentinel => Devil Dinosaur (cause I can!)
Rogue => Cloak (of Cloak and Dagger fame)
Deadpool => Nighthawk (of Squadron Supreme) or Starlord (more obvious pick)
Super Skrull => Ms Marvel
Dr. Doom => Thanos or Ultron

Still, so many good possibilities for Marvel characters to rise up.

Thanos was already in MSH and MvC2 with his own moveset, so he probably won't be substituting for anyone. But who knows

I tried to come up with a roster for Marvel but I failed hard. That side of the roster is going to be produce the salt.

Capcom's side is relatively straight forward mostly because they got it so right with Marvel 3 (minus no MMX and Gene which is easily rectified).


For Stages I only want to see moonlight raining Temen-Ni-Gru from DMC3.

Obviously under moon light so you can see what you are doing in it.

she doesn't actually break the fourth wall which is a cool twist about her char
like, she comes from p much our regular ass world where shes a big nerd and is sucked into the marvel comic book world, recognizing that it's the marvel comic book world. she doesn't actually know that she is the star of her own comic nor does she speak to the reader or anything- it's more like, she acts as if she was the star of a comic book as to stay alive in the insane world and only has it confirmed that her plan is working via her not being dead
however this also ties into murdering a bunch of people and the usual 'oops i thought i was in a wacky fictional world except all these people are actual people and not props now i have to deal with the consequences of that' too
it's surprisingly good considering the really stupid origin and base concept it has.
