All PS4 Pro enhanced games (native support and boosted)

Hey OP, I was looking at Rise of the Tomb Raider and I thought it had substantial frame pacing issues in the 4K checkerboard mode? I have not played my copy since the Pro's launch day, was this addressed in a patch?

Any info on Pro enhancements for Let it Die? Someone from either GungHo or Grasshopper mentioned a bump in resolution but you still see quite a few jaggies on a 1080p display.

The Pro version launched with no framepacing issues at all. However, the 1.05 patch introduced pacing issues to all versions of the game, both on Pro and base PS4. That's unfortunate, but the Pro (in all three modes) remains the best option.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
Is it me or i see very less red markings , Looking at some recent threads on Gaf I thought the no. would be higher??

Keep in mind also, a few of these games have undergone multiple 'Pro-related' patches that in some cases have improved and cleaned up some of the major nitpicks GAF whinged about at launch. (Deus Ex being one example)

And as mentioned, the vocal minority leaps on a scant couple examples of Pro-related issues, while most games are actually improved. Even in those cases, the problems are rarely as dramatic as the internet makes it appear.

For games you do have, you can post 4K screenshots. I can try pixel counting from those (or you can, using the method I described long ago in this thread).

Knack
- Choice between High Framerate mode (1080p/60fps) and High Resolution mode (only at the beginning of the game - there's no toggle after that).
- High framerate does not seem to be a solid 60fps. I noticed quite a few drops.
- High resolution appears to be limited to 30fps, but I still noticed a couple drops.
- Based on some screenshots I took, I'm estimating that Knack is in fact rendering at 4K on the high res mode (albeit with checkerboard rendering - there's artifacts/dithering all over the place)
- No other graphical improvements as far as I can tell... this game is even uglier than I remember lol
- No HDR

Here are some raw screenshots if you wish to verify this:

Whether loquacious or succinct, every list of this type has missed this one MEGATON game:

Hustle Kings
! 4K + HDR! lol

Bonus 4K app also always missed:
Sony PlayMemories Online
.

- I'm guessing 1800p (native upscaled, definitely not using checkerboard), but very unsure about this so please check the screenshots. Actually 1440p - thanks Liabe Brave.
- Graphical improvements as listed on the official site - "increased graphical fidelity and effects, including motion blur, depth of field, visual effects, and more"
- I played through the entire campaign when it first came out, and it looks AMAZING on PS4 Pro in comparison

I noticed last night that Arkham City got another update that specifically mentioned new Pro features. Has anyone tested it yet?

Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization has unadvertised Pro support. The framerate in town is increased from 30FPS on 60FPS on the Pro, graphics seem a bit better but I'm not sure if the resolution is actually increased or what.

Awesome thread, thank you for putting this together

You have certain resolutions listed as dynamic, what does this mean?

It essentially means the resolution is lower at certain times to preserve performance.

Oh! Someone go in and do some analysis.

I don't think Pro Evolution 2017 has changed for 1080p users. It's definitely not supersampled.

Great job OP, that's gonna come in handy.

It's a disappointing list so far, and very hard to justify the price tag, especially on a 1080p screen.
I was expecting more support from Sony, but i hope they'll pick up the slack better, in 2017 and beyond.

So far the only real reason i'd buy this is to have Last Guardian and FFXV at stable 30fps, which is laughable.

Very useful thread! Subscribed.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X has Pro-Enhancements as well. According to the official Blog:

  • If connected to a TV that supports 4K resolution, you can enjoy the game in 3840×2160 resolution.
  • The image quality of the 3D models have been enhanced.
  • “Photo Studio” mode supports an image reading size of 3840×2160.
  • The PlayStation VR mode has a 90 frames per second support mode.

According to a fellow Gaffer there might be no downsampling for 1080p TV users though:

Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live has improvements as well
  • 90 frames per second support mode.
  • The image quality of the 3D models have been enhanced.

played Batman Arkham Asylum yesterday to check out the PS4 pro patch..

I got the impression this was rendering above 1080p (maybe 1440p) and was downsampled as I couldn't spot any shimmering or jaggies in the image. Game ran close to (as far as I can tell..I'm not a good metric) 60fps

didn't notice any additional effects.

edit : I should state that I'm on a 1080p display

Thanks, OP. Now to play the waiting game and see which paid employee of a game outlet blatantly takes all of the information posted and repackages a bit as their own with a small credit.

Really? That's awesome, do you know what the enhancements are by chance?

Edit:
So it's not clear. They say it's 4K and HDR, but I highly doubt it's native 4K and I'm assuming HDR will be on the base PS4 as well.

Can't say for sure, but I feel like the last time I popped into Trackmania Turbo they added a ton of lighting effects that I had never seen in the base game. Lots of bloom, maybe even some fog?

They also glitched out pretty badly, so hopefully it was just a fluke on the custom course I was playing.

Is there word from Jonathan blow to make down sampling available on 1080p screens? Kind of a bummer that it's not there right now.

Thanks for the fantastic thread!

There have been reports that Knack was getting a Pro patch, but it isn't in the chart. Does anyone know if it's been enhanced or will be soon?
