Final Fantasy XV |OT2| For Jared!

It's one of Ignis' techniques. I don't know about that other guy, but the weapon that seems to pair off the best with it is the Royal Arm, the Bow of the Clever. For whatever reason, the Overwhelm skill just makes you shoot a shit ton of arrows at a pretty fast rate, on top of your teammates attacking, so it's a lot of easy DPS. And if the monster is "vulnernable" when you use it? Good lord...

Correct. At level 70 I was probably dishing out close to 100k each use of the tech. All while invincible lmao.

I got survival to max level naturally. I had to grind fishing though. Don't like fishing in this game, can never catch the fish I'm looking for.

Lol, I was the same level as you, kill him in about 2 minutes with no struggle just abusing Iggys Overwhelm. Most broken skill in the game. The L120 boss went down just as easily :p
Oh yeah, Overwhelm is waaaay too OP lol

Though it doesn't work very well against enemies that move around a lot, like the Gorgon. Also, a bit of advice to anyone who wants to do the Adamantoise fight, don't bother using Overwhelm or most of your other offensive techs.

Damn. Sounds like a good exploit for some of the more tough boss fights.

Gotta invest in it now :p

I feel like I fall short of that, despite being a higher level lol (Hard to tell, so much damage gets done in a short period lol)

Do you have good accessories and such already? Also, it's damage is affected by magic, right?

Yeah I stack magic attack with it, food buffs and stuff too. Also helps to have your teams deathblows unlocked since they like to spam them during the tech too. I think me alone was hitting about 2500-3000 a shot x40-50. Even more if you use it during Vulnerable :D

Only problem with it, is that since it's a royal arm you will pretty much put yourself into Danger state usually :p so make sure you're full health when you begin the attack.

It kind of kills me that I had three separate revelations about who the fuck Jared was because of how much of a nothing character he is.
The first was
that the random-ass old guy had a name and was apparently dead or something. The second was that he was that annoying kid's grandfather, and the third was that he was supposed to be a butler. I literally just didn't get the memo about any of these parts of his character when he was "intoduced." I can't believe this fucking game lol.

I'm grinding Totomostro for all the items I want. The car skin is neat but I really just need enough for the rod upgrade and weapons.
Infinite gas just seems like it'd be too much work for how easy of a chore it is.

it's even more stupid because [end game spoilers]
you eventually get something else that gives you infinite gas anyways

Fuck wasps. Worse than coeurls.

Edit: used my Gamestop credit to get the season pass earlier. All set for.... whatever they have in store. Hope that Holiday Pack they mentioned drops.

Sorry to bug again but I can't get the Cup Noodles guy to give me the quest.

Are there any conditions to make the quest be available?

Finally got passed chapter 3. Only took 55 hours and level 66. Also not a typo. Beat the puzzle cube dungeon. That was an awesome experience.

wow....

chapter
9
sure is something.

You can feel the duct tape used to patch what probably was going to be a much different segment. like wow.

Already OT2? Good stuff.

Was finally able to make a bigger dent today in my own personal playthrough. Had many laughs. But after going 23 hours, being level 32 and still in the middle of chapter 3, I decided to go ahead and move through the main quest. I'm at Chapter 6 now. I personally would've thought I'd be tired of the game now, but since this is my personal playthrough, I am enjoying it immensely. Really like taking on things much tougher than I am to see how long I can last.

I should record some of my gameplay...

What about those items that are neither heal items nor weapons? like horns and stuff from animals. can i sell all those?

Just finished it, I don't know what to think really. Loved many parts of it and other parts were done so terribly. All I can really think of right now is what this game could have been. Definitely feels like parts weren't finished there are few that I can point out but those should be left for the spoiler thread. Overall I would rank it as mid tier in how I feel about it when it comes to all other final fantasies

I'm at chapter 6 now and I feel like I'm still just bullshitting the combat, as in not knowing what I'm doing half the time. All I pretty much do is wait for Ignis to analyze and attack (spam circle) with what weapon the enemy is weak to.

I'm good at parrying and using techniques but I still feel like I'm doing something wrong because my party frequently gets knocked out (never encountered a game over so far) and I'm always having to use a ton of potions/elixirs. I did a lot of sidequests in the first 3 chapters but kind of got bored of them and stopped ever since, so I'm wondering if I'm underlevelled. I'm like around level 25 right now.

After finishing the game 10 hours ago I just now found out you can talk to Cindy to customize the car and add those damn upgrades I was doing all those quests for.

Why wouldn't I want them put in Cindy god damn it

Guys, I have a question:
Know im on ch6, does doing alot of side quests, hunts ( important for gils) or fighting random enemies make me over-leveled for main quests? Or does the queststs auto-adjust to my current level?
And what is the best way to balance in doing side quests and main without being over-leveled? I want a nice challenge :)

Adamantoise down. Daggers on the feet is so much better than going for the eye. All that is left for platinum is maxing out fishing and cooking.

I started a second playthrough to see what the difficulty is like if I ONLY do main missions. I'm about to head for the waterfall at Lv 14. Progress updates to be posted later.

Was just thinking... is it possible for FFXV to be data mined? Not really sure of the case with PS4 games but P.T. did recently.
Would be very interesting to see things that didn't show up in FFXV or things coming perhaps.

Alright, for posterity: if you leave Costlemark Tower the mobs you've killed on the upper floors stay dead and the passages you've opened stay open too... But you have to redo the puzzle on the last floor all over again. Worse yet, I had to fight two red golems instead of one this time.

Having completed it on lvl40, goddamn this place is brutal, Jesus. I don't know if I love it for its challenge and atmosphere or if I hate it for the absolute STUPIDNESS that is having to fight 957472937 exploding bombs in a cramped space. And they throw a Yojimbo alongside them to add salt to the wound! Fucking come on, Tabata, who thought those encounters would be a good idea.

The bad thing now is that I'll probably find myself severely underwhelmed by whatever challenge the main campaign throws at me. Lol

Thanos acquires the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet in The Avengers: Infinity War, but loses when all the superheroes team up together to stop him.
The Rock of Ravatogh is a pretty cool place. Each dungeon I find is more fun than the last.
I hated that place with a burning passion after three quests

Pun intended btw

Amazing title, I was waiting for this
