I think this is new, but I could be wrong.

They're also aggressively expanding:

CD PROJEKT RED was born out of raw passion for video games. Founded in 2013, the Krakow studio functions as a creatively independent studio working closely with the Warsaw team on it’s core properties including The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077. At the moment, we are expanding our studio and we want to double or even triple our size in very short time.

As a Gameplay Designer in our studio you would have chance to develop your skills in one of the most-expected AAA game. We are focusing on high quality and do our best to offer players amazing gameplay experience. Within a team, we are open for new initiatives as well as often feedback which helps us growing. What’s more currently we are developing our gameplay team in Cracow (from 2 people to even 6) so you will have chance to be a part of this change.

We are looking for Juniors, Specialist, Seniors and Lead.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience with narrative, multiplayer and/or shooters.

Sounds legit to me and makes sense given its hardcore sci-fi setting. I think maybe E3 2017 we are finally gonna get our first look at this bad boy

Didn't they already have like 300 or more people working on Witcher 3? Doubling or tripling that would be a huge team.

Dream game? Dream game.

Vangelis music DLC pls. Need that San Francisco into song.

Real talk. If they nail the cyberpunk feel, and blow us away with gameplay this could be my most anticipated game. I'm really worried about story or dialogue

Ah, you caught me before the edit! I don't know why I thought it was San Francisco and not Los Angeles!

Not if they want to work on multiple projects at the same time.

Yep they've already basically said they are turning into a multi-team, multi-project studio. They are going to need the staff.

I fully expect Witcher 4 to hit within 2 or 3 years of Cyberpunk. Pretty sure its already in pre-production there with another team.

going to hold off on upgrading my pc until i am guaranteed to be able to play cyberpunk at super fuck graphics
so like 2020 i suppose

...they're making this seem like a colossal undertaking, even for the studio that developed Witcher 3. Hope they're not overworking or underpaying their employees.

Not very hopeful though...

I wonder if the entire game will be spoiled/revealed through job postings. Maybe the game itself will be all about doing jobs from job postings and this is some form of meta-advertisement.

I'd interpret the OP as them wanting to double or triple the size of their Krakow studio specifically, which is not their main studio. No idea how large this studio is, but since they mention increasing the gameplay team there from two to six people, I'd say it's rather small at this time. No game development studio in their right mind would triple the number of their overall employees in such a short amount of time. That seems like a recipe for disaster.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Let's fix that. It ain't coming out for years.

It's been in active development for over three years now (Eurogamer visited CDPR in Autumn [Sep-Nov] 2013 -- eight+ months after the release of the teaser trailer, which doubled as a recruitment drive -- and noted that the team was 50 people strong). Mid-late next year isn't outside the realm of possibility, but 2018 with a potential slip into 2019 strikes me as far more likely.

They're also looking for people for multiplayer and shooters (for this project, it appears from the listing).
