You're welcome! Sorry again everyone for my typos and such. Just trying to get as much info out as possible. Also doing simultaneous translation typing is so much harder than the usual translation I do.

Anyway it was a great show. Loved the small peaks into XI that were shown. The battle sequence is nice, plus there was a nice over the shoulder shot of the 3ds version. A little dungeon action and all. Wish they had shown more and that the show was longer but it's a nice little documentary and surprised me by telling me things even I hadn't known yet, like the we are the world connection.

The thing that interests me about the dragon flying is that it looks to be 'to-scale'. The world doesn't shrink to accommodate it, so could make for some really neat exploration if done well.

All we saw of the dragon was in the short clip in the gif posted earlier. So guessing flying around but I don't know about if it would be in battles too

I'm not sure, all we got of the battle system was that clip there. Wish there had been more.

It's a bit weird that they're holding back so much from really showing it. That's definitely the #1 unknown so far with this game (UE4 version anyway) so you'd think they would want to clarify how it works.

Maybe it's just not ready yet to be shown?

Kind of looks like DQX but it could also be traditional turn based since DQX is not like most MMO.

Well I don't know what square-Enix's promotional stradegy is for the game but in Japan, they could just show a white paper with the words dragon Quest xi on it and that would be enough info for people to be excited.

However I would say some of the footage that was shown in the special was very low fps so it's still got a bit to go. Also the documentary was more about dragon Quest in general and not XI so it's not really the place to go all out in explaining how the game will be played and all. I'm sure they will release more info sooner than later, and that will help clarify things.

Has Dragon Quest ever been known for release date delays? As far as I've followed the series they always seem to deliver, even if it means leaving things on the cutting room floor.

edit: I mean for Japanese releases, not localizations, which we know are prone to unexplained delays.
