I almost grabbed Vanquish the other day, looks like I'll wait to see what this announcement is. I'm glad we finally heard something about their ports though, was wondering what was up.

My personal bets are:

- Virtua Fighter 5 FS (They already have a x86 port thanks to Yakuza 6)
- Shenmue HD (A very old promisse and The most requested in #AskSega and Official polls)
- Skies of Acardia (similar to Shenmue)
- Sonic 1,2 Whitehead version

would love
- Resonance of Fate
- JSRF
- Skies of Arcadia
- anything by Platinum
... but most likely its gonna be something Sonic again or Shenmue remastrs

something Atlus is sadly still unlikely :-(

Vanquish or the Shenmue remasters are all i want especially since I've never played Shenmue and Vanquish would be bananas at 60fps.

I predict that the announcements will be for Persona, Valkyria: AR, Virtua Fighter 5, and Vanquish. I'm so sure that these titles will release in 2017 on PC that I'd wager a 3 month ban on myself.

I like your optimism. :)

Not another Sonic, please.

They're doing a couple of Sonic games every year regardless, I don't see really see Sonic as competing with other ports.

This isn't new for SEGA. Take my advice. Forget it. Don't think of anything until you see something come to fruition. That way you won't get hurt.

Wise words. Drop the wishlists, it's just setting yourselves up for disappointment. That goes for everything Sega related: PC, arcade or consoles.

Sega 2015 port was a Sonic port no one asked for.

I just think that doesn't mean much for getting other games ported, so IMO there's no reason for people to get mad every time a new Sonic game is announced.

"Is there any other "major" fighting game series that's missing from PC besides Virtua Fighter?"

Soul Calibur.

Yeah, was about to say that, although Soul Calibur honestly seems about in the same boat as Virtua Fighter in that the latest entry was so long ago that a new entry would be a big surprise.

Soul Calibur.

Right. So, SCV was before Dark Souls PC and Bamco's paradigm shift on the PC space. Even though they made a couple of late ports after that (Ace Combat and Enslaved just from memory) they didn't bother doing the same with their flagship fighting game franchise, Tekken. Instead, they are waiting until the next mainline installment to have a simultaneous release. The 20th anny thingie gives me hope for a new Soul Calibur game and I think it's pretty safe to expect it to also get released on PC. Unless there is not one and the series is dead.

I just answered the question (that nobody asked) about why isn't Soul Calibur on PC and I think a major part of the answer applies to Virtua Fighter. The main difference is that VF5S will be in Y6 and what this can lead to.

Virtua Fighter 5: FS on PC would be amazing. I have 4 but I hear 5 is just the same but everything is better with more content. Plus I don't play my PS3 anymore to buy it digitally from PSN anyway.

I'd be down for a Persona or Yakuza collection on PC.

Other than that, there isn't much else they could announce that would get me excited; really don't care for Vanquish or Bayonetta

:V

if they're doing yakuza, I think they'll do 0 and then kiwami first, don't know what they'll do with 2 to 5 though lol

New Year could mean around New Year or literally anytime in 2017, Sega Twitter Guy.

I hate you. I hate you so much. Why do you do this to me.

Virtua Fighter 5 is a lock. The arcade version was basically running on a PC and it was just revived with Yakuza. Pretty hyped if that's the case. Otherwise all I want is Valkyria 4 or maybe JSRF

If it was such a certainty I think it at least would have come out four and a half years ago when the PS3/360 FS versions were released. I'd love to see a port on PS4/XB1/Steam in the new year but I am not expecting anything. Sega are an extremely risk averse company now.
