Nintendo Switch game box art

Rime also has a GameStop listing so Switch gets it on retail also. No box though.

Edit: Decided to add the case and compare it to the Wii U version:

Switch can't handle the power of SUVs confirmed? Downgrade?

This is insanely impressive box art. Even the back and sides are a masterclass.

Wait a minute. This is an NA box (from the ESRB rating). Bilingual in French.

It looks like Canada is getting this edition after all. There's been uncertainty about this all day—no retailer was listing it, EB reps didn't have an SKU in the system for it, Zelda.com hadn't listed it.

I am relieved (or will be, anyway, after I secure one).

(Unless this is typical of boxes in the United States as well? It didn't use to be the case. I see there's Spanish there as well.)

I love how the NA sunset design captures the golden convention of Zelda boxes without being strictly gold.

That EU Zelda cover is a travesty.

Thankfully Nintendo Australia seems to agree and went with the NA cover.

Also, those clean red spines are fantastic. A shelf of Switch games is gonna be classy.

Looking at this, I wonder why they gutted the European Master Edition so much. You get less items and I think it's more expensive overall.

Love the boxes. They're so sleek and no-nonsense. The Wii U ones were truly ugly and difficult to make most game boxes look good with, with the new design almost every box looks great. Also really like the sleeker, PSP-esque box.

Here's what some of the Switch boxes would look like in red, had Nintendo continued the trend they started with the Wii U. I kinda wish they were actually red; it'd make the whole thing a bit more cohesive as a brand (the red Switch logo seems kinda out of place as it is), but it could also clash with some designs too, I suppose. And the red spine could be considered too much if the plastic were the same color. Not sure, to be honest!

The main thing I wanted from the Zelda collectors thing was the case for the console, does the NZ/Aus version seriously not come with it? :\

I definitely agree, red cases look far better.

So here's an image of the Nintendo Switch game box that I captured from the Treehouse video.

Seems a bit wider than a PSP game box.

I'm sad the cases aren't red, but at least the spines are, so that'll look nice on the shelf.

I wonder how tall they are compared to blu-ray cases. I'm bad with this stuff.

I'm liking the look of the cases. Please post more as you find 'em!

They are beautiful, but they are not that smaller than Dreamcast like CD cases (so they could house DVD's too). Was not Nintendo supposed to save lots of money in shipping due to carts being super small and allowing Nintendo to ship much much larger quantities?

My guess is that small cases would be perceived as 'handheld game' by the consumer.

I'd buy Bomberman for that boxart alone. Love the comic look.

You even get the superior CE, just why is NoE failing us so badly with BotW. ;(

The non-EU boxart is really one of the best box designs I've ever seen. It captures the epic feel, it portrays the open world and it's a real beauty. The European one captures none of it even remotely as well.

I'm thinking of going back to buying some stuff physical. With the Switch only having MiniSD support (not particularly fast and reliant), the boxes looking great so far and me wanting to be able to sell a game every once in awhile it might be a good console/time to go back.

The Boxarts look great, love the Bomberman one!

Between Redout and BoI+ it also seems like Nintendo is enabling Indies to fill up their physical lineup.

Fantastic boxart design! It brings back memories somehow. Maybe to the N64, they had a lot of red in their boxarts, right?

I might go more retail this time around. :)

At least they got something right. Some of the best box art I've seen. Zelda and Mario Kart 8 are top notch. Love the little PSP cases too.

I love the minimalist logoing. Reminds me of old Super Famicom boxes, as opposed to the Super Nintendo stuff we've been getting for years. LOVE that Zelda one.
