Can we as a Nintendo community all buy this anyway so Rockstar wont use it flopping as a reason to not support the system.

You guys had your chance.

An exclusive GTA game who took advantage of the DS and had a very good marketing campaign behind it.

It bombed.

Yeah sure, release a game nobody bought on the other system on another system where users even have less chance of buying it.

Then tell them "Well you don't buy our games, so no we won't bring GTA or Red Dead to it."

L.A Noire sold more then five million units.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
GTA V would make much more sense - since its still selling like crazy and ran on last-gen systems.

Though it seems like they dont want make money on Switch lol.

Yeah this has been floating around for a while. Very strange.

No stranger than Rabbids x Mario RPG though. The Switch is shaping up to be the weirdest thing, a piece of hardware from Nintendo being universally praised but a weird assortment of software.

Actually I think this makes the most sense as a remaster for the Switch, because it's the most puzzle game of their portfolio. It makes sense to do an interrogation on the train commute. Much more so than doing a mission in GTA V.

It's just that, everybody already played this game.

Unless they're banking on Nintendo bringing in fringe gamers again? That makes sense actually.

Maybe it was originally a wii u port that went nowhere and R* was like "Well, we might as well do something with it."

This is about as head scratching as Apocalypse Now being announced earlier.

Look, I'm as much of a Nintendo partisan as anybody, but this works about as well as a boycott (i.e. it doesn't), and it's not in your rational interest anyway to "support the company" with a drop in the bucket. Buy the game if it interests you, or don't.

I'm likely to wait for a long-term eShop price cut on this if the launch price isn't right (precedent says third parties cut deeper than Nintendo itself), but I'll be glad to have it in the library (if the rumour pans out) even if it never leads to RDR or GTA, as I expect it wouldn't. LA Noire on Switch interests me a lot more than GTA, to be honest, but I know this is a minority position that isn't about to move units.

I mean if they wanted to port/remaster something then wouldn't RDR or GTA make more sense? Bully actually would be pretty cool game to have on the Switch.

The software does seem to have a rather odd-ball quality to it.

I feel like not por ting Red Dead Redemption is them just leaving money on the table, but then they've not bothered with a PC port either and will be swimming in cash when Red Ded 2 drops.

So stupid it's probably real.
Imagine how successful a RDR1 or GTAV port/remaster on the go would have been though.

Missed opportunity here. Should have been a countdown with Rockstar's logo and the Switch logo.

It would have been incredibly entertaining. :D

This isn't the first time I've heard this rumour. It wouldn't surprise me and I'd be interested in it considering it's a game I never got around to playing.

Any GTA game would make some sense although they would certainly come to PS4/X1 too in that case but L.A. Noire? It's almost too unbelievable to be made up.
