I discovered that the reason DMC 4 SE would hang on a black screen when starting a new game was because it was installed on external HD. I can now play it 18 months later. Being able to change a game's location via the client is nice too.

PS - i will try Dark Souls 3 drunk run today lol
I congratulate you on becoming more experienced and wiser as expressed by the number of years you have lived.
Unless of course you feel insecure about that, then this comic might cheer you up.

Never played the Swat series before but always wanted to - but holy shit the keyboard bindings for 3..

- This looks nonsensical to play with the default bindings
- There are so many functions that this looks like it will be awesome... I hope

It's kind of like when you boot up System Shock 2 and have to change the A/D keys from 'spin in place' to strafe.

Different time.

Yeah I know, I'm used to it, but with such a large amount of functions its pretty crazy to sort out. Also a complete lack of tutorial makes the game a bit difficult to get into off the bat.

I'm fairly certain I used the arrow keys to aim way back when I first played Quake. Ah, "good" times.

Fun fact: My mum signed off on my brothers buying it for me because she assumed it was an educational game about earthquakes.

I don't know why but the AIs in FF4 keep targeting Edge in my game, like he's basically Yamcha at this point

EDGE IS HERE

EDGE IS DEAD

He sucks

You can filter out specific tags in your account preferences. It may not completely remove them? I forget. But it'll definitely make them less prevalent.

Awesome, worked like a charm!

For anyone wondering you can do this through Steam Settings, under account, then top right there is account details, and you can add / remove tags there!

Yep, there is a simple all in one package mod for Steam that can also utilise source ports. Some of them are really awesome.

Doom 3esque per-pixel lighting? Oh my. I think I was still on dial-up when I last played through Quake.

Fell into a gameslump.

Speaking of, still haven't gotten notice of a refund. Used PayPal. Did anyone else using that get theirs?

I didn't receive an e-mail notifying me of the refund, but it was pending when I logged into my PayPal account yesterday.

i wanna play re7

you should. Ive actually been looking for you, im surprised you havent finished FF4 yet, I took a week off it so I was sure you would be done by now, it doesnt seem very long (I also got Edge now, but for me its Kain who is the damage magnet /shrug)

He hooks up with
Rydia
though.

And has the Throw skill, which can do the most damage in the game.

That's twice Anteater has hated on some of my favorites in what is my favorite FF game. Putting you on notice here. One more and we fight.

Thanks to everyone who responded about their PayPal pump dump refund.

listen to the mad man

This seems like a crazy drama queen meltdown (typical for RPGCodex, which is an awful site filled with terrible, miserable people) about minor tweaks during development, and the title is completely inaccurate to the contents of the post.

Two stretch goals are mentioned:
- One is about companions. Their response was that they ended up making fewer companions but giving them more to do.
- One is about an area ("the Oasis"). Their response is that the area is in the game, but when they were developing, they took a minor area ("the Bloom") and made it a major area, filling the original role of the Oasis, and so the Oasis is smaller as a result.
- One is about an encyclopedia of game lore, which they are still releasing.

The conclusion the author draws from these design decisions is:
inXile have had significant issues with the management of Torment's development. There's no telling which of the game's many other stretch goals they may have also backed out of. I would strongly recommend that they publish a Kickstarter update clarifying this matter. People paid money for these.

Also (not mentioned in the post), Italian translation and live orchestra used for music were both nixed.

(But yeah, RPG Codex, so take it with a grain of salt).

Surprised no one has posted this yet: Gorogoa Trailer

Gorgoa Steam Page

Should be out Spring this year

Yay! The time has come to add another game to the list of cool games with a store page!

Plus, these without a store page yet:
1. Miegakure ; the 4D game which got featured in an XKCD comic.
2. Gorogoa ; a puzzle-game in which the main mechanic consists in merging hand-drawn illustrations.
3. Ernesto RPG ; a game released by Daniel Benmergui, yes, it could exist!
4. The Council of Crows ; the next long-awaited game in the land of dreams, by the creators of The Sea Will Claim Everything.
5. Bomb Squad Academy ; think Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes in solo.
