Not to rain on the parade (I'm happy that MILO is finally getting some real heat).
But didn't Yiannopolous make it to the mainstream because of the Berkely riots against him which canceled his speech?

I guess this cancellation by the publisher will be another popularity boost for Milo. In the end will find another publisher, because "Dangerous" is so controversial.
After all, this book was #1 on amazon at some point.

IMHO this pedophilia-scandal will only reinforce those who already hated him while those who agreed with Milo will be like "eh, lying main stream media back at it again".
Milo and Breitbart will make this about "free speech is restricted, see?!" and in the end they'll sell more books than they would have without the cancellation. Sad.

people who are pushed to his side and add to the boost in his popularity are trash-bag human beings to begin with. fuck them

Did I miss something? I'm having trouble parsing the title. Was the book canceled because Milo was standing up pedophilia in those videos, or because the book itself was going to?

I can't be mad at shitty things happening to shitty people. Maybe he will finally understand that things you say, come with consequences.

Jack Tapper picked it up too. It was going to break out.

"Tappin' that ass" was on this shit almost instantly on twitter, glad I follow him and was able to see this thing grow from a sapling into a redwood.

Apparently Jake has a friend who was abused around the same age as Milo and implored him to speak out against it.

Or so he says. Maybe he really did get his marching orders from the Deep State and George Soros that it was time to execute Order 66 on Yiannopolous.

If Maher does he needs to be shit on from a great height.

After watching him for years, I have no faith that he'll be contrite or reflective on his own failings in that entire episode. Maybe I'll be wrong but I doubt it.

You know, when you put things into perspective, it's kind of hard to take criticism of political correctness seriously when those same critics:
  1. Encourage online harassment campaigns against women(GamerGate)
  2. Condone pedophilia(Milo Yiannopoulos)
  3. Commit mass murder(Anders Brevik)
  4. Are Drumpf.

It's funny how Maher likes to call Trump voters stupid when he fell for Milo in the exact same manner that so many people fell for Trump.

Trump said a lot of odious shit, and voters who agreed with some of it were able to ignore the rest. Maher was the same way with Milo. People were charmed by the way Trump spoke because they felt like he was one of them, and Maher, being the smug prick that he is, was similarly charmed by another smug prick like Milo. Voters couldn't be bothered to look up any facts about Trump's talking points because they liked what they heard, just like how Maher didn't bother to with Milo.

Bill Maher is a moron, is what I'm saying.

And both Trump and Milo were most hurt by videos that were recorded when they felt free to be as horrible as possible, and not by any debates that exposed their stupidity.

Maybe the truest thing I've heard during this whole thing.

There is a bit of a wait and see, but since his book deal has been dropped, we can be a bit more optimistic.

I really wish I could share your optimism...
Here's what how the Milo crowd reacted on his facebook page under a post where Milo defends himself:

This leads me to the thought I had that the pussy video was probably equally damaging, just... here we're seeing what happens with companies reacting, versus individuals. If the Republican party could've operated more like a company then they probably would have immediately "fired" Trump, and the government straight up bar him from possibly being president, but there's enough terrible and/or ignorant people to vote him the fuck in anyway.

Thank fuck Milo's not up for any election! Or eligible for any far as I can tell. But he may still find an audience that'd pay him and grrr.

First person seems to think it's the left, when it's really bipartisan.

Seriously. "The Left" didn't remove him from the CPAC schedule. And "The Left" isn't in charge of Breitbart and debating whether to fire him. How is this slipping past their minds? They simply don't think that a person from the alt or far right who spends their lives fucking with other people, spreading dangerous misinformation and destroying lives might one day nick an artery they shouldn't have unless it's by "Progressive Leftist Libtard PC SJW" machinations

"This is what the left has turned into."

These people are so goddamn brainwashed.

It makes it easy to see how fascism takes a hold on people. The sad truth is, most humans are far too easily manipulated into covering their eyes from the truth.

The great thing is, once you believe that all of news is "the left" you can just reject reality outright.

I guess the line of thinking is this:

1. Read article
2. See whether you like what it says
3a. You don't like it -> call publication leftist Antifa Media, attack writer personally
3b. You like it -> Share on facebook, don't care who wrote it and why
4. Feel happy about yourself and your worldview

I feel like, as opposed to stories like him being boycotted, his antisemitic stuff, where right-wingers can just go and defend him without even doing any kind of research on him ('free speech!' 'outrage culture!' 'safe spaces!' 'snowflakes!'), with this story, you need to watch the interview to see what it's all about.

And by doing that, plenty of rightwingers just now realized how "obnoxiously gay" he really was. "Wait what? I've been siding with that weird f*gg** the entire time? Fuck that!" He got too much attention for his own good, i feel.

He seems like an overall toxic person, and i'd love him to go away :/

It went #1 in pre-sales for like a few days maybe a week and then dropped to like #80 just as quick, and he had a major publisher, not major publisher is going to touch this, it might get released as some sort of self published ebook or by some right wing press with limited release capabilities.

Huh?

He's getting backlash from conservatives, his book is gone, he's probably losing his job at Breitbart, and if he wasn't denied a platform at Berkeley, it's likely he would have doxed the undocumented immigrants attending the University.

Milo is going to do some crazy stunt to get out of this. He'll probably go into gay conversion therapy or some shit.

Meh the goal was never to get his idiot disciples from following him (that's literally impossible) it was to prevent him from being a mainstream icon.

Conservatives are distancing themselves and there is no way a chunk of even the alt-right havent left him. The only gain he can have is pedophiles. There is 0 chance this controversy ends in his favor.

He's really popular with white male gamers who don't get any pussy and love anime and underage girls.

His fanbase is huge.

That explains a lot..

I gotta do some research on him and see what his view is.

I thought as someone who is homosexual he would be more understanding and compassionate. But from what I've been hearing, he's doing the complete opposite for the money and fame. That he's a gay (conservative?) is ironic.

Edit: apparently he said that "gay men should get back in the closet" and that gay rights is detrimental to humanity... dude is a damn nutcase.
