Is it from a VN base?

I watched the first episode of it a couple year ago thinking it might be some kind of vampire Goth romance of something, but then I got to the end of the episode and noped the fu(k out of there....

I guess it fits some girls tastes, but my goodness is it abusive as hell.

It can't be worse than Amnesia can it? That one was super fucked up in regards to abusive relationships. Maybe it's an Otome trope.

Also nice legs for Miitopia, as predicted.

How much did you expect it to sell again?

Will PS4 even be able to hit 10 million? The switch and more big games to come out of Japan makes it a really hard call IMO

A surge could happen but I guess it looks unlikely...?

Will the DQ game do anything? KH? FF7?

I'm so happy to see Nioh reach 100K in 2 weeks, with stock problems and not even counting digital. After the Alpha feedback I was worried but looks like it was for nothing.

Seeing as how PS3 was able to hit it, I see no reason why it wouldn't, unless this is a shorter generation.
Switch might slow it down but that remains to be seen, I'm curious to see how big of an effect it'll actually have.

Just to make a comparison...

PS3 Slim White in Japan launched in July 29, 2010 and increased the sales of PS3 from 19,420 to 45,224.

PS3 at time had a 5.360.154 userbase.

And here is your answer to that:

I'll find the original version somewhere:

It's the other way around and it's actually one of the most successful otome brands in Japan. Not that I like it, it's the one otome I'd probably skip if it was localized for the West.
Guess what's Mangagamer's second most requested title.

Crazy how popular it is for woman to play games/watch media where the woman is being abused and/or is in horrible relationships; Otome power for sure.

Miitopia is at 200k at Famitsu.

The problem is it came out at the end of 3DS life. Right now it looks a 250-300k title.

Indeed. The Switch release sadly is going to cut the leg short there.T_T I wonder if Ninty will try all Miitopia 2 again lol.^^

They may just do a Switch port and release it internationally instead of localizing the 3DS one. We will see.

Well given how popular 50 Shades of Grey is I'm not sure it's an otome thing.

PS4 games are suffering from the same fate as Vita games. Here in an instant; gone in a flash.

EDIT: And those For Honor numbers are abysmal.

Not FFXV though!

Please don't use the price drop excuse as every PS4 game has dropped in price drastically after a few weeks.

No? Just because you say it doesn't mean it's true. (hint : games that aren't massively overshipped don't drop in price nearly as fast nor as dramatically).

Rather than doing that, isn't it a better idea to released the newer version with all the previous assets and fix all the cons of the first Miitopia?

That way, it will be able to be sold to both Japan market once again and of course for the West.

It's not even at budget price why would it do well?

Tales of Zestiria had a 10k FW on PS4 after it launched at 340k on PS3 for example.

And Tokyo Xanadu had a 15k FW after it launched at 88k on Vita. I would've expected Digimon to at least be a little closer to that than what it got, especially since it has a similar amount of performance improvements & new content vs. Zestiria which was the same game.

Well Next Order had a 50-60k FW, and I think Tokyo Xanadu ex+ had additional content, Japan does not care about better framerate and resolution.

Zestiria also had a lot of visual improvements for its PS4's SKU (not as much as Next Order though) at a lower price

What's with the huge discrepancy on 3DS sales between MC and Famitsu? Is MC not tracking an SKU or something?

Edit: yeah, that ^

And FFXV's the Little Engine That Could Sell 1M Retail

Next Order was 64k FW and has plenty of additional content on PS4 (hence "international edition").

But anyway, it doesn't matter. It seems I'm alone in my belief that it should've done better. Idk, when things like the Atelier games were getting expanded ports on Vita a year after their PS3 release, I'd have seen sales like 6k FW as a disaster. Even the sales they were getting (12k Ayesha / 16k Escha) were shaky.

I wasn't expecting explosive sales from Digimon, but at least north of 10-15k FW and a moderate LTD of 30-40k or so, which it sure isn't getting from an opening like that.

God Eater Online has quite possibly the worst rating I have ever seen for a mobile game.

It's also started completely tanking in the revenue charts.

Is it just fundamentally broken currently (i.e. continuous disconnects), or just completely horrendous?

Edit:

Okay, using Google Translate on some user reviews, it seems it's just fundamentally broken.

Why is the 3DS´ YTD in Famitsu almost 2x of Mediacreate´s?

I think Famitsu included another week at the beginning of the year so that's why the number is higher. But don't worry, they will adjust the numbers sooner or later as they always do :D

So far information regarding Switch is at better level than every previous launch since 3DS. The fact that it lauches on Friday might give initial shipment, before Famitsu reports first week sales, from the blog or sinobi.

Another disappointing month on the eShop for Nintendo with Sun Moon 7,774 from 26 Dec - 29 Jan and Momotaro Dentestu 4,486.

PS4 has Biohazard 7 with 26,088, Gravity Daze 2 with 18,821 and Kingdom Hearts with 16,562.

I'm sure someone will compile the full list shortly but I have more pressing engagements for now.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!

Now that you speak of God Eater...did we ever get infos on the upcoming console game? I remember February was indicated as when Namco would have released new informations. Did I miss them by any chance?
