All going towards improving PSN services, right?
.... right?
Welcome to the real world.
Holy shit you just scared the shit out of me OP
I live in Cal but still have my address set to FL, so hopefully I should be good for awhile.
My fellow brethren and I in Quebec are going to get destroyed. *tear*
For what I'm reading Cali doesn't have digital taxes whereas Florida does...
I think it's only american states that are affected..
Just got one.
about goddamn time
It really was weird that still in 2017, products on there weren't taxed.
Sony can shove off, I'm not going digital anymore getting my 45 dollar games off of Amazon now.
Nah I just preordered Nier this weekend for 59.99 flat

It's been this way since forever in NY.
Will this make the speeds better?
Bad timing Sony. I'm disappointed
Cool...someone mentioned earlier FL had a 6% tax
Me and my friends live in NYC as well and we aren't ever taxed. MS and Nintendo is taxed on their stores though. I hope it stays the way it is now :/... It has? Cause I'm pretty sure if something is $5 on PSN, it's actually $4.99. Lots of times I've ended up with 1 cent left on my account.
Doesn't the email in the OP state that they'll start charging for taxes from April 1st? I don't know if the state of Florida will charge taxes in this matter or not but even if it does decide to do, you won't see it until after April 1st.Yeah I don't know what they are talking about, I've been all digital on PSN since like 2012, there's never been taxes charged
Blame your state, not Sony. I'm in CA and haven't seen anything from anyone digitally outside of streaming subscriptions. And you gotta know Apple and Google are based in CA, and Microsoft/Sony have branches here.Bad timing Sony. I'm disappointed
I too am upset that I don't get to hand the government 13% on all my psn purchases.about goddamn time

I think we get taxed for breathing here in Cali so I'm sure we're next.
Why would you blame Sony for this?Sony can shove off, I'm not going digital anymore getting my 45 dollar games off of Amazon now.
No reports as of yet. Hopefully it'll stay that way. What about New York?
In this thread we learn that a lot of gaffers don't know how taxes work.
