Holy shit you just scared the shit out of me OP

I live in Cal but still have my address set to FL, so hopefully I should be good for awhile.

about goddamn time

It really was weird that still in 2017, products on there weren't taxed.

EXPLAIN YOURSELF SIR!

Live in Ohio and no email yet, even though I see someone else in the op does.

I use psn cards almost exclusively so unless they start taxing those at retail we'll see.

I am going to double check my account too to see what address they have on record.

... It has? Cause I'm pretty sure if something is $5 on PSN, it's actually $4.99. Lots of times I've ended up with 1 cent left on my account.
Me and my friends live in NYC as well and we aren't ever taxed. MS and Nintendo is taxed on their stores though. I hope it stays the way it is now :/

Yeah I don't know what they are talking about, I've been all digital on PSN since like 2012, there's never been taxes charged
Doesn't the email in the OP state that they'll start charging for taxes from April 1st? I don't know if the state of Florida will charge taxes in this matter or not but even if it does decide to do, you won't see it until after April 1st.

Right now, even all the mentioned states in the OP will be PSN tax free until April 1st.

No indication for my state so far, but so much of my purchasing is through Amazon ($47.99 shipped, day one arrival on new games for prime) that it wouldn't really impact much. But wow, this is hilariously bad timing for 4.50 coming out and finally allowing external usage, if they were hoping to get more digital customers that way. I'll just be loading the drive up with disc installs.

Well I'm in NJ...

Guess I'll always be getting from Amazon and Best Buy now and the very rare digital purchase on evergreen games.

Welp. Is VT taxed? I was living there when I bought my PS3 and created my PSN account, though I'm back in Peru now.
