First try. Still figuring out the whole customization options. I wish there were more options for nose types, brows and eyes. I'm happy with my first attempt.

Pretty good!, reminds me of my DAI character.
One of the few characters I had a connection with, I actually miss it right now haha.

Why does all the hair look like a wig...

Man I hate character creator games. Even more so when the same tech for the character creator is used for the random npcs.

Great job there. Both look good.

Thanks!

I'm definitely less than impressed with the creator, but I'm pretty happy anytime I get to play my 'Redguard' fantasy; my favorite character type is very dark skin, very light eyes, I like how it has kind of an intense vibe to it.

Nice stuff. How did the dad turn out?

He looks like an arabic Jeff Bridges. I'll get a shot of him when I can, I forgot to on the ship and now I'm on the planet.

For some reason i read the thread title wrong and thought that EA had posted screenshots of the Ryder family and was like "wait...the dad is black!?"

Its a shame you cant have defaults and keep the faces but just change the hair and colors

I dont mind how male ryder looks but would love to change the hair, I think it looks so stupid

Honestly the jank kind of feels like home 😂

It's honestly crazy that we see the exact same type of jank in bioware games for this long. It feels like they're still running on the animation tools they used in ME1.

At some point you gotta stop with the bandaid updates :/

What is quite telling is that the same jank carried over from Unreal to Frostbite. Literally all of the same types of bugs and weird animations and goofy lighting haha. It's all there.

Oh Bioware, never change. I may actually use up all of my 10 hours in the character creator and the opening of the game. I had created what I thought was a tolerable Scott Ryder, only to discover that up close and with the in-game lighting, he suffers from horrible crow's feet and lumpy skin. Someone definitely hasn't been moisturizing for the past 600 odd years.

Ryder Rejects

In many ways it feels like this character creator is a step back from Dragon Age: Inquisition's. You can't adjust ear or head shape after choosing a custom head. You can't select a skin texture (i.e babyface, pimply, or weather-beaten etc.) after choosing a custom head. Heck, you can't even remove unwanted chin waddle or colour facial hair differently than the character's hair.

Well, onto my second attempt.

I would have liked to tweak her face more, but ten hours.

Forgot to take a picture of the brother, but him and papa Ryder have some serious caveman brows.

Like DA:I, it is a lot easier to create a normal looking person than in first Mass Effects. Unlike DA:I, the options are very limited.

That's always the worst. Looks good in the creator, and then looks like he/she got hit by a car on the way into the actual game.
