Nioh |OT2| You Can Be My Yojimbo Anytime

Does that include combo enders? So basically it only counts if I use a strong attack on it's own?

Combo enders are skills you had to buy.

My understanding is that "Strong Attack" is literally just your triangle combo. That's why "Strong Attack Damage" is trash as a weapon attribute.

A few posts in here about the game being too easy are going be in for a rude awakening when they reach the final sub-missions.

Talk about a difficulty spike.......... jesus christ

I DID IT!! After countless times dying within ten seconds I beat two kings!!!!!! YEAAAAAAAAAAA

Okay, so is there any way I can just freely customize my sword?

I'm enjoying finding all sorts of different swords designs, but I feel a bit impersonal when I'm constantly dropping my favorite sword for a new shiny one with stat upgrades. Eventually, I want to find or make a sword I can just stick to and upgrade as I go along with the game.

Reforge randomly generates a different effect for a weapon. Is there a way I can add an effect to the list already? Or do I just have to find a weapon that is 5 or more stats, then just roll the dice until the Random Number God gets me a stat I want?

Are you in Way of the Strong?

All purple gear and below is just a holdover until you get to NG+ and divine items.

Also do you understand Soul Matching? I got a CTA Heart A+ Katana and soul matched to get 20% Close Combat Damage? Then just rerolled the other stats

Not sure what Way of the Strong is, so probably not.

I've been soul matching, but it gets expensive (especially if I want to do armor too) and I do that. I just want to make a katana wholesale. Can I do that?

Meh.
Honda has like no poise, so you can straight up stunlock him once tachi is gone. Parries and headshots make all humanoid bosses pretty simple.

Only one way to find out. :) Just have a go; don't lose anything by trying. I want to try and finish all original mission before going to far into NG+ though. I just couldn't face it straight after the first one.

Yeah, these missions were both very easy when I went back to them with a +6 weapon and all armor at +3 or higher. I beat Two Kings easily on my first try. The other one took two tries because the fight started slightly before I was ready the first time. Second time was cake.

I'm in the next-to-last region in NG+, and it is no joke. Even at my current level (about 160) and with solid gear, some of the spear warriors are taking me down with a single combo if I get sloppy. There's no margin for error.

It actually took me 70 hours, just like the developer said lol.

Sure showed me...

ahh nice. I came pretty close to that also. I had to get some co-op help once in a blue moon so it probably could have been much longer but I sit at 65hrs.. just beat it last night

A lot of + close combat damage, Yokai damage and Human damage, bunch of other damage buffing stats etc. will post my gear and all the stats later today.

Anyone had some luck with lvl 160 ranged weapons? I crafted tons of them and not a single one at 160 :(

How when we talked about it in the previous thread already, I don't think there is anyone who doesn't know about meeting on the other shore. But if this can ruin the game for someone I'll remove the tags. MatrixMan, could you edit your post?

Man, it's really weird that (end game spoilers)
the guards in the tower of london sounded Japanese in the beginning of the game and now they sound English in the epilogue
lol

Or did they patch that recently?

Well I think that concludes my build, some minor changes to rolls but other than that I'm super happy with it, hits like a truck against bosses and normal enemies. I could make it even stronger but refuse to use anything heavier than light armor.

Both dead with 3 mid hits...

Warning!!! Late game boss fight spoiler!!! "A meeting on the Other shore" mission!!!

Zack posted his build where he could one shot every single boss in the game on NG+ With the unsheathed sword move.

Yeah these builds are basically 160+10 weapons, stack close combat damage with the highest percentage on everything. Stack other damage buffs on every piece. Use magic damage buffs like carnage. Since all damage buffs are multiplicative the total damage can get out of control.

There is also a kusurigama build that is pretty easy to do if you have the pre order armor beta that allows you to walk around one shouting everything in the game.

The sanada crimson set bonus gives you 28% close combat damage buff and that's multiplicative with all the other damage buffs.

Sorry for being a scrub ;) but is there anyway to tell which materials I need for the trophy, or do I need to kill all the bosses again? I just need this and the blacksmithing one for the plat.

Google it abd compare to the items you have. Its probably the final boss one you are missing or 1 from a feline.

I swear to god when I first played the game the english guards in the tower of london had the same grunts/yells as Japanese soldiers.

They did not have the same voice clips they do now.

Maybe it was a bug I ran into or something.

Possible...its a long game so i could just not remember but i dont remember it from ng+ either

I played on day one and the English guards all sounded English and had English dialog clips.

There is a percentage in the title tab for the materials , check how many of the 22 you already have and that should reduce the ones you need to get.Unless you sold them all ( bad move ) or you forged a LOT of things .. you should be able to get the remaining materials if your percentage isn't too low

When Team Ninja is more respectful of its female characters than fan artists, you know you done fucked up

But that's always been the case- fan arts are always potentially more extreme than official art because they aren't held back.

well if it's any consolation, Nioh really don't have much in the way of fanarts... there's like only 6-7.... in the entire gallery >_>

It's no Nier for sure! XD

Damn it, the highest I've gotten for Close Combat is 15%...
Couple of questions, what stat pool is attack in? I want all my armour to have it, but don't know what it rotates with. On that note, I foubd armour with |>|attack but I don't have the stat requirement to use that gear. Can I still max it's familiarity and transfer it to another piece of gear? Or do I need the minimum for it to count?

Wait. Is your weapon at max familiarity? The max value for Close Combat IS 15% if your weapon is at 0 familiarity. At max it'll become 20% which is the real max. I hope you didn't already re-roll that 15%.

Soul Matching doesn't care if you can wear the gear or not. Just max its familiarity and transfer the Attack atttribute.
