I'll post these in this thread too, just incase they are helpful for anyone.

Hey guys does anyone know if we can change the motion control aiming to using the right stick for aiming? I am horrible at using motion controls for aiming and so if it's the only option, I will probably struggle to enjoy it.

I'm a kid now.

Can't wait for the first testfire in 10 hours. I missed Splatoon since they stopped the Splatfests.

Fresh from the SplatoonJP Twitter press! Looks like the right stick (used for the camera) now has its own sensitivity slider option from the gyro sensitivity. This will be a boon to quite a few players I know, for sure!

All other options look the same as Splatoon 1; Normal or inverted axis in X and Y (Y Axis only possible with gyro disabled), and enable/disable gyro controls. Not sure what the other option fields are for since my Kanji knowledge is terrible...

EDIT: But looks like the next field looks something like "Colour Display Support", or something to that effect. Likely to have colour lock option in there.

EDIT 2: Finally found it in my dictionary; Second field is "Colour Sense Support". Definitely going to have colour lock in there as an option; could possibly have other options as well.

I'm really curious how the WiFi connection will hold for this, especially with so many people having trouble with that.

Ohhhh myyy godddddddd. Hype intensifies!!!!! I've been commenting about this since the game got announced. It was the ONE thing I hated about the first game. This is absolutely huge for me.

Edit - Are we sure that's what it is? Only one of those sensitivity fields has a right stick image on it...?

I'm interested in this too. The Switch's WiFi is absolutely terrible currently. I get lag in bomberman on a 250meg down 30 up connection (Switch only gets 50ish down max) which I can't tell if it's the other person or me. But even when I host a lobby I get lag...

I won't be participating this time as I don't have a Switch as of yet, but I will be watching the gameplay from numerous streamers over the weekend as this happens. Should be good fun all around. :)

Also thanks to Cheesemeister for the global timetable. I did my best to hunt around for timetable info before the OT went up, but this is much better. I'd request the OP to add it into first post if and when possible. :p

Finally, to all you people saying the Roller is OP, well... SplatGAF never forgets.

(It was the Dynamo that was OP in the end, not the regular roller)

Never forget.

Any chance the game will run in 1080p docked now?

even if its 720 or more tomorrow, we really wont know until the full version is out and about(unless nintendo put the whole game in the demo, which they have done before and people have managed to get into with other games) because its only a small part of the game and so has limited memory, which means things might be downgraded out of necessity.

Never forget.

I went ahead of myself and saved people trouble by already making a (semi)joke prediction for this testfire.

For real though, if you get matched up against a veteran charger during this testfire, some squids are gonna get blown out something fierce. The roller speed buff might catch a lot of people offguard though.

Gonna be a fun few days to watch. :)

It is revealed that bomberman has crappy servers and its not on your end

Interesting, those must be some terribad servers to not be able to smoothly host a bomberman game between 2 people (with 2 on each console).

Can't wait for tonight after hearing that X/Y axis news. Going to be awesome playing Splatoon with the Pro controller.

I'm playing this mainly for the controls. If the split joy-con gyro aiming is good, then I'll be there day one. If not, then I'm gonna skip it like I did with the first game. Should be fun in any case.

Bomberman online has been decent the past week, not much lag with 4 people but I expect servers to be hammered all weekend

I hate to ask, but what does this mean? Does it mean we can lower the sensitivity of the right joy-con analog stick so that gyro works better?

yeah I can't even play on wifi unless I move rooms, I'll have to play on the TV where it's connected via ethernet.

I also wonder how the connection quality will be with other players playing on shitty wifi or even hotspots :/ Having no regional matchmaking and even worse connections this time around could really be a dealbreaker for me, going to have to see it for myself.

I have a bad feeling this isn't what we think it is -_-

It translates to something like "It seems to be possible to set the sensitivity of the gyro sensor and the stick separately".

If they still haven't fixed this then that's a complete joke. It was the one aspect I hated about the first and felt like it showed their inexperience with shooters. Can anyone translate the greyed out Right Stick field?

You realize that some of the official twitters and social sites for splatoon operate under the guise of scientists right? That seems like it's just the roleplay. "Hmm, this seems to do THIS, further study is required!" etc.

ah okay, thanks! and thanks to Penguin even if I didn't get it, haha

Your team's score is based on the amount of ink that can be seen in birds eye views. So technically ramps are worth less and walls are worth none. Also the area under bridges is probably worth zero as well.

Yeah I can only play during the last one due to my job. It's really stupid that Nintendo doesn't make the Testfire last all weekend.

Well it's a stress test, so they need as many people on at the same time as possible, rather then spread out over a weekend.

(Another open weekend later would be nice though)

jon bones

hot hot hanuman-on-man action
i'll be on tonight at 11 and tomorrow i'll make a nice up of coffee and play in bed with my wife and dog

and it will be amazing

Fuck, I´m at the verge of getting a Switch right now so I can play the test fires. Splatoon was my most played WiiU game, ended up playing it almost every single day since launch.

If you decide to try and get one today, good luck. They're super scarce right now.

I do, I meant more what it appeared to be suggesting

So it isn't sensitivity? It's inverted on or off. Right stick sensitivity is one slider.
