My PSVR has been literally collecting dust for months, on a whim I hooked it up this weekend to finally do the Rogue One mission. I kinda forgot how cool VR is, it was like "whoa!" all over again.

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch
I can confirm what I should've known:

The Ghostbusters VR dealie is real cheap. It looks good enough and has a lot of potential but ends up feeling like a rushed tech demo. Super scripted, maybe 7 minutes long, and just plain flat.

The property deserves better.

Thats because it is just a remaster of the mobile app version, that was released last year to promote the movie

Is PSN really, really slow fir you as well atm? I mean 1 GB in 8 hours is pushing it a little bt.

Not nearly that bad but it is very slow for me, which is weird because the server with the cloud saves is crazy fast for me.

I find that the speed increases dramatically if I put the PS4 in rest mode.

Wtf, just figured out why:
My WiiU being on (even if it did not download anything) apparently led to that download speed issue. Turned it off, now the download is done in 2 minutes.

Alright guys |OT2| is finished, final call for Thread Title, Vote For The Best Matrix Reference:

PlayStation VR |OT2| Am I Dead? Far from it.

PlayStation VR |OT2| There is no soon™

PlayStation VR |OT2| Reloaded

Edit: Also after the OT2 is posted I won't be updating the Let's Talk About PSVR Titles thread because I'm merging both threads :p

Bought and played an hour of Korix. Very neat. Playing through the harder campaign settings will likely still take me a few hours, but I am very much looking forward to dive into MP in a few days.

The RTS/Tower Defense mechanism work really well, although I kinda wish it had ... more of everything. More maps, more modes, more units, but even then the base it has atm is very well polished and already a ton of fun, since much of the possible strategy also comes from tower placement.

Definitely another game on the "grab those games if you have a psvr" list.

Second OT? Second Matrix movie reference fits best:
PlayStation VR |OT2| Reloaded

Mervils is pretty much how you expect it. Janky mechanics, terrible animation and uninspired puzzles this far. It's a total trip to "be there", but it's left me wanting more.

Looking for some Fated impressions myself.

Nabbed Until Dawn from Target clearance for $10. Pretty stoked on it.

It's a nice and simple game. Good for VR-beginners :)

I've been playing Eagle flight, but I find it hard not to turn the head (The game says to only tilt it), thus making the game to drift a lot, to the point of me not being able to finish some challenges.

Otherwise I like the game. Looks good, and feels nice.

Yeah I'm excited to play through it when I have the chance. When people ask to try out the headset it'll be one of the titles I use to demo it since it's so easy to grasp.

Eagle Flight is killing me with the blinders. They still haven't released a patch for it, have they? Because I couldn't play more than 15 minutes of it with the blinders

(PS4) Reloaded was a nice pun on the Pro's code name Neo. I can't see why it applies in any way to PSVR, just because we filled one thread to the brim. But I see that Matrix Reloaded is the desired theme, so why not take quotes from it instead of the title?

PlayStation VR |OT2| THIS IS ZION AND WE ARE NOT AFRAID!
PlayStation VR |OT2| It is purpose that created us. Purpose that connects us.
PlayStation VR |OT2| I killed you, Mr. Anderson. I watched you die...
PlayStation VR |OT2| Door's open, bed's made. Welcome home.
PlayStation VR |OT2| Where is he now? He's doin' his Superman thing.
PlayStation VR |OT2| I believe it our fate to be here. It is our destiny.

I know that, I meant the Reloaded part as the Pro essentially is the PS4 "reloaded". My original proposals were all Matrix themed, but from (the better) first movie.

Morpheus was in that one, too... ;)

I just finished Fated. I was looking forward to this game since I saw the previews.

Bad

It took me hour and half to finish, and I was taking my time exploring the surroundings etc. Granted, it is fairly linear, so there is not much exploration. Most people will probably beat it in about 60-75 minutes. There is not much replay value either.

There is no smooth turning option and the character walks really slow. Note to VR developers, options are good.

Good

The art style and graphics are good.
The voice acting is good, and there is a lot of it
The story is also pretty good.
The game feels polished overall.

Bottom line

This is more like an interactive movie than a game. Heavy Rain would be the closest comparison for me. At 10$ list price, I would recommend it.

I like none of these title suggestions and have none to offer :D

A pointless matrix reference is better than a "VR totally isn't dead guys!" thing though. Reloaded is fine.

Those direct quotes would be fine for a Matrix-related OT, too specific here though.

So, I've got a problem I'm hoping you guys can help me with. I got a PSVR recently and it has been great up until this morning. Upon booting up Thumper I noticed that my screen seemed to be tilted to the right, and no amount of calibration/adjustments/other software seems to change this. The problem is way more noticeable in menus and cinematic mode, but with some games it absolutely kills the experience.

I'm at my wits end from trying every fix I can think of, and so far searching online has just led to a whole lot of old posts with the same problem and no real solution.

Are you using rest mode on your ps4? If so, don't (or at least do a full switch off/on before using vr).

I think you can also hard reset the headset by holding its power button for a few seconds?

As long as it isn't horror, I'm in. I want a VR game where I can exist in a cyberpunk environment so bad. Even like a point and click adventure where you use a regular dual shock would please me so much.

Wouldn't class Mortal Blitz as horror. Feels more like VR Time Crisis.

It's simple, brainless, blasting fun. The only irritation for me is that you have to point the Moves at the screen, Wii style. I'd rather hold them upright as you do London Heist.

Some demo gameplay. http://youtu.be/Hz1nWPLIDfM

RE: Mortal Blitz, I played the demo on the Asian PSVR demo disc.

- The graphics seem to have been significantly upgraded, at the time they showed the title's mobile roots.

- Gameplay was alright. I was put off by the fact that the position of the guns made it feel like you were holding hands that were holding guns, and so you had to tilt your wrists down to aim straight. It never felt like you were actually holding the guns.

- The tracking, like Ace Banana, was superb, and darn near "room scale."

EDIT: I see Fastest Finger had the same gun position issue I did. Such a shame. I wonder if that's been fixed since the demo.

An OT title should really highlight a reason to be excited for the system. Something that every user can appreciate and is a true paradigm shift from previous mediums...

Thanks, I'll try the power button reset when I give it a go again tonight. I typically use rest mode, but have been powering down completely and rebooting before any VR session as I've heard rest mode can cause issues. Maybe I'll give up rest mode altogether for now just to be certain.

Looks OK for a static shooter. There's always a market for a bit of brainless fun and this seems to fit the bill.

Not too sure on the sound effects though. The strange noise when you kill someone is rather irritating IMO.

I think I'll wait to see the price before I decide whether to jump in.

PlayStation VR |OT2| Reloaded - gets my vote of the ones mentioned.

Rebooting before VR should be fine... Strange. Hopefully the hard reset fixes it
