But yeah, it's about damn time he got into a mainline KoF. There are other Garou characters I would have preferred, namely Kain, Gato and Kim Dong Hwan, but he was really the only choice.

I read the title of this thread as Ron Howard DLC Trailer and somehow, that made sense for a micro-second.
Well it wouldn't be their first time doing this. Art of Fighting characters should be older than their Fatal Fury counterparts (Geese Howard was his younger self in AOF2), yet they didn't age at all in KOF.

Previously they didn't want to include him out of respect for the Fatal Fury team, said they wanted to see him in Garou 2 before in KOF.
The current SNK seems to be of a different opinion it seems, though to be fair the current dev team is filled with old Fatal Fury team members (even Rock's original character designer is working on XIV).
If Nakoruru is canon...

Yup, no one would have seriously called this. It was sad seeing Oda and Rock's character designer disappointed on twitter.
The difference here is SNK is still actively working on XIV.
After XIII console release the dev team was disbanded, they couldn't rebalance the game even if they wanted to.

Oh yes! Yamazaki and Rock are two of my favourites, so this makes it even more difficult to settle on a team. I guess Billy, Nakoruru and Geese will have to go, but Mian, Leona and these new two are all essential...

I never really got into fighting games, but one day my older brother takes me out to games arcade and tell me to try out this one fighting games that he thought was cool at that time. That games was Garou: Mark of the Wolf and long story short I fell in love with the game and spent so many times (and allowance) playing rock without ever getting good at fighting games.
I might pick the game and DLC just for the sentimental value. Anybody knows why they never made the sequel for Garou?
