I mean, he/she/it basically says as much in the card I linked to. Who knows though. I'm sure it will all be novelized someday.

It could be a case of unreliable narrator though. There isn't enough evidence either way yet to know for certain what happened. We know Rasputin was ready to attack. The question just comes down to if he pulled the trigger or not.

I see the evidence he may not have, I'm not saying he didn't for sure.

Sadly that won't happen. :( I wish it would.
But ps4 palyers that always tell everyone "just want to play the best version of my multiplats" will stay on PS :(

Game would be really great on PC with a huge community

I'm sure the PC community will be large enough.

until people get bored and go back to counterstrike heh heh heh

A majority of PS4 players won't switch to PC, no. It's not like every PS4 owner also owns a capable gaming PC anyway.

But the game will still have a fine community on PC I guarantee. That's where I'll be, even as a PS4 Pro owner.

And not all of the Book of Sorrows is full truth, as well. There's definitely some muddled history, here, it's just a question of how muddled and in what direction.

The largest wound being on the bottom of the Traveler always struck me as suspicious - did it just turn its wound toward us to heal, or is it evidence that it was struck heaviest from below?

Stuff like this is why I adore Destiny's lore.

Ditto. And I was definitely of the belief that Rasputin saved us, disabled the Traveler, for the same reasons before people started reading closely and arguing against that. It's possible he was hiding his injured side toward safety to heal, or did so in order to, in its dying breath, release the ghosts. Or some artist just thought it looked better that way. In early concept art, it looks like the last city was inside of the Traveler and it took a beating from all sides. Of course that wasn't used in the game.

Dota 2 bruh

Jokes aside, pre-ordering the moment it's live for the PS4. Loved the expansions and lore. The base game was garbage outside of its shooting mechanics. Hopefully this is what Destiny should have been.

So, did the traveler and the bad guys from vanilla ever actually get explained?

Depends on what "explained" means for you. Did their motivations, origins, plans etc. get opened up more? Yes. Did all of their secrets get spilled in first game out of, at least, three? No.

Yeah, I'll also happily switch from PS4 to PC for Destiny 2. If it's a good game it'll be absolutely fine. PC gamers love their loot games.

Though cross-play with PS4 would probably be the most amazing announcement they could make...

No one went 1000+ hours into Destiny for the story
It was gunplay and community/comradery

The lore behind Destiny is awesome. Bungie just did a totally shit job of telling it in the game.

There is zero excuse for grimoire not being in game in Destiny 2. If it isn't that's a colossal fuck up

People are still running VoG and Crota's raid today, not sure it'll be obsolete if I wait a bit.

Those raids came back in the 3rd year. @_@ That's one hell of a wait! lol.

And tbh, the only reason they're back is because it's the easiest content for the live team to put out when they're so handicapped by the slow tools available to them.

Depends on what the PC version offers, tbh.

I guess, but I think PS4 having that exclusive contract will force people to stay, especially if their friends are there.

I'm 100% ok with getting DLC months later if it means I can play it at 60fps with keyboard and mouse. I was totally fine with the way Destiny played on a controller, but those were my two biggest problems with its gameplay.

Wrong.

Not only being in the game, but with still shots/short animation with narration clips would be a nice touch as well.

I just want my Guardian to carry across PC, PS4 and even XB1. I'd buy it for all 3 platforms if that were possible. Any word on if that is possible?

Major DLC is released at same time for all platforms, but PS4 version gets some extra stuff like weapon or two and strike that even PS4 owners don't want.

You'll miss those "moments"
If you were a Destiny first year player, you survived the gauntlet

From bugs/glitches making VoG into one of the most frustrating experiences yet the most jubilation once conquered, it's the you had to be there kind of saying that rings very true

For a person jumping in now to play Destiny l, they will not get to feel the impact others have gone through
It's crazy how much the game has changed

How hard of a grind was to go from Destiny year 1 to now where everything is more balanced and so many options to reach goals easily

Experiencing as a huge community the first few weeks of content really entrenches those memories
Can't be replicated

If this game ends up bein g a little closer to what I thought they were originally advertising I'll get it for PC. Probably worth about 40.

As a PS4 player I would never not want additional weapons and strikes in a game that is already so content starved :p

D1 had some really good exclusive content, which was unfortunate for Xbox owners :/

does any game offer that? hearthstone is the only thing that comes to mind to carry over between pc, android and ios.

What happened to all their helmets and why are they all humans?

Cabal ate them and humans are easier to identify with than Exo or Awoken because they are too alien.

Doing "No one dies in the raid" achievement in bugged VoG was fun time.

Oh the memories.

Outside of Hawkmoon I didn't really find that timed content to be any good. Those strikes were horrendous.

lol I'm a patient man. The Dark Below and House of Wolves didn't really sell me on Bungie's season passes, though Taken King was pretty great. I'm just going to wait and see before I plop more money down.

Very good points! I was a day 1 player, platinumed Destiny on PS4! I know all about those grindy moments, glitches, loot caves, etc. Even then, I'll have to contain myself because it kind of took over my life (another reason I want to wait for Destiny 2) and I didn't get much done other than farming for spinmetal and relic irons lol

Whether it's a matter of "I was there for that moment", I think I'll have to be ready to miss out on those moments. Awesome times with friends but Idk, I just felt kind of burned by Bungie after all of it. It doesn't make much sense, I'm sure lol

I'll never forget my first time running Vault of Glass during Year 1. That will literally always go down as one of my greatest gaming related memories ever

My big concern is how crazy the microtransactions will be in this game. :s

You just know Activision will want it to be smothered.

It's nuts just how much fun Destiny can be. I loved the game mainly thanks to the community since none of my friends play the game. Even though I always do the raids months after they come out (still need to do the newest one at some point) I still have a great time because of the people I get to meet. Man I can't wait for Destiny 2!

I don't miss running around Mars opening chests to try and get some relic iron to level up my gear.

Don't miss that at all.
