Yeah, I got a lot to finish up from Winter, and I'm almost done. Trust me.

And finally, after many years, Boring Girlfriend Flat is here at last. Need some of that Utaha-senpai greatness!

Oh no, what if gaming-gaf follows him back here!?

I will force them all to watch or play Clannad! Time to grow a heart!

Of course she joins their school without a hitch.

Choi's from somewhere south but it's really like she's from a different country entirely. I am aware there are indigenous tribes in Japan but I haven't read any of them being in a disconnect from modern society or having a kingdom of their own. Just pondering, I don't really mind if it is made up.

This episode was a bit weird in the sense that it somehow shifted over from Dera being a focal point to Choi and her interactions with the girls. Their relationship clearly makes some progress but it's unclear how this affects the girl. Is she uncomfortable with it or if it is helping her in someway, more so keeping in mind there is little we know about where she is from or how her life was. There isn't a concrete resolution as a result of this development. If anything it feels like she was little more than a play thing for the three girls, dressing her up or playing with her.

The bits involving Dera are surprisingly entertaining, always funny to see him get kicked off his high horse, he makes for a good pair with the playful personalities of the three girls. I cannot however see Choi and the girls under the same lens.

Show that will end up being a surprise (the good type of surprise) to most, that people aren't currently talking about
Sakurada Reset

show that will end up being a surprise (the bad type of surprise) to most, that people aren't currently talking about

Show that will be loved by animegaf but will actually be a garbage show

Show that will be hated by animegaf but almost everyone will be watching it
Eromanga-sensei

show that most people here will actually watch but few will admit to it
Tsugumomo

Best sequel
My Hero Academia

worst sequel
Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul

Anime sale on Steam has begun, now also with real anime xD

That seems like a really good price, now I'd like to know the quality.

I'd be interested if these were videos available to download, but it looks like they're only available in online streaming format, in which case there's no benefit over watching them directly on Crunchyroll.

Yeah, I'm still confused how this will all work.
There's apparently a free movie you can use to check out how it works, but that doesn't give me a streaming version (like it mentions in the FAQ), but downloads the whole thing instead.
Hm.

Not seeing anything other than Sakura Quest I wanna watch but I still gotta catch up on my Winter anime either way so I can hope for some good impressions from other shows from here while I do that

Bought 91 Days, Re:Zero, Alderamin, Mob Psycho and the GitS Movie.

Thank you Steam. You just saved me tons of money. I will never get a full series for ~4,50€ again. Heck, in Germany I pay 20€+ for 4 episodes.

Show most likely to disappoint: My Hero Academia S2
Shows that I hope will surprise me: Warau Salesman New, Seikaisuru Kado, Sakurada Reset
Show that I'm gonna watch because FUCK ME: Berserk Season 2
Show that will heal my broken mind after Berserk: The Eccentric Family season 2

yeah, our tastes actually line up decently :p

If we are talking strictly shows that recently ended (and not anime we want back in general)

Youjo Senki
Demi-chan wa Kataritai
Ao no Exorcist

would all rank higher for me than Konosuba for wanting it back (I should catch up with gintama at some point)

I respectfully disagree.

I respectfully disagree.

that's fine, you want something to disrespectfully disagree?

I can't decide if Akiba's Trip or konosuba was the funnier show :p

(note konosuba was the better show in general, but I think akiba's got more actual chuckles from me.)

Akiba's trip was actually god tier. The last episode was legendary, loved the series.

It's in general a bad series, but it's that rare show that manages to walk that fine line between a bad bad show and a show that is so bad it is actually good lol.

I mean the whole thing is stupid, but it has a number of great little scenes, and the english dub has a lot of great one liners.

at the very least I can say with out a doubt that it was funnier than maid dragon. (granted I still have a few eps left of both since I am watching the english dubs)

Nice, new thread!

Picked this up on a whim, and while I do like the world and don't particularily hate the characters, I have two issues with the episodes I've seen so far: one, that there're many scenes when some epic music starts up, keeps going for five or so seconds, and then stops abruptly, leading to an awkward silence; and two, that the show tends to ommit lots of stuff whenever it starts juggling focus among two or more separate groups of people. Like, when Mikleo and Sorey split up and the former went looking for a new weapon, Mikleo's quest was a bunch of ten-second scenes that were barely linked together, and didn't give the whole thing any impact whatsoever (but the scene where both said the had "beat" the other other was nice, at least). I do like the setting of a forgotten link between humans and magical entities that the MC wants to restore, but the characters and general plot appear to be kind of boring so far.

Really, Sorey being a goody-two-shoes is kind of boring, since there's that scene where the obviously evil aristocrat invites him for dinner, he accepts, and the princess doesn't even take it upon herself to debrief him on the current state of affairs on their way to the guy's estate... like, you know, her not trusting that man at all. Meanwhile, Sorey's conversation with him amounts to "I fight for my friends" in pure shounen-style idealism while ignoring the aristocrat's not-so-subtle suggestions, which was equally underwhelming for me.

Can finally rest now that Sorey has finally caught the ground-type bro-con little girl and added her to his harem party. Seriously, I really can't stand characters whose dialog often amounts to saying "onii-chan" over and over...

On the other hand, the demoneater girl's arc is 100% grimdark but appears to be slightly more fun by comparison, even though I don't get where the heck the little witch that speaks like an old crone came from. At least her party gets into fights more often than Sorey's.

One thing you're wrong on: Zestiria is not a harem. Also, dissing Edna *shakes head*

If it makes you feel any better, Soreys goody-two-shoes attitude does get tackled surprisingly well by the show later on.
