I said something similiar and like 5 people inside GameStop got really defensive including two staff members. It was hilarious. I wasn't that harsh just said "I can't see anyone wearing that in public".

So collecting massive profits by setting your price according to the demand of the invested gamers isn't smart? So they should have set it at $150 and missed out on an extra $100 per consumer that they had zero issues selling through?
You realize with how quickly these sold, they likely could have priced it at $300 and still sold through with zero issues.
Again, many people are putting their own personal feelings above objective sales analysis. Its the same reason GAF was shocked at For Honor dominating February, and why GR Wildlands is the best selling game of the year. You have to look at things at how they objectively move / sell and not how you feel about matter personally.
The whining from posters like you about destiny is honestly pretty insane. There's nothing wrong with this collectors edition.

I have played more destiny than (I guess ) most people here , so huge fan .
Not a fan of the trailers to be honest . I sorta liked the comedic tone but would have preferred a more traditional approach to trailer with in game CGI etc . Still , looking forward to it . They have a chance to make this an epic game , but will see .

The most I'll do is the Steel book case.
Now that there is a PC version the game really needs to give the ability to share your account/character across platforms. It seems good business sense, encourages double dipping.
At least allow cross-play for PvE! (I understand PvP could be more problematic)

Hell, if people are willing it to buy it at that price then who can blame Bungie or Activision? Fuck, I'd do it too haha. I will say if you're willing to pay $250 for all that (no way in hell that bag will be high enough quality to justify $150) then I'd imagine you're not somebody who complains online about microtransactions or DLC.
