Street Fighter EX+α is my absolute favorite Street Fighter game in existence.
More than Super Turbo
More than 3rd strike.

It was the original 2.5D fighter. 3D graphics on a 2D plane.
The arenas were in full 3D and during the fights you do move around but the characters stay focused on one another.

It was developed by Arika, a company founded by Akira Nishitani, who created Street Fighter II.

Starting as Arcade releases, Street Fighter EX And EX + the home console version on PlayStation got the famous α suffix swell as improved graphics and an arranged OST.

The OST is the stuff of legend and I'm gonna drop some links below to get you pumped.

The Genesis for this thread is that from nowhere Arika have just publisher a video of a new fighter using the EX characters!

It's not an April Fool, it's real, they need a publisher or crowdfunding but personally I hope they work with Capcom and make it the real EX 4

So with that all said, and please bring your own memories of the ed series and share them, let's build a roster.

Rules

Without rules the thread will be just a list thread.
12 Characters maximum. I want you to have to make choices.
Eligible characters:
Any Character who has appeared in a Street Fighter game as playable, mainline, alpha or EX. No Sawada (yet)
Any character from Fighting Layer. (Spiritual successor game from Arika)
Significant secondary characters from SF and EX, particularly if they appear in game or ending movies.
Characters from Final Fight Rival Schools and Project Justice.
Up to 1 new character of your invention: Me creative Description, nationality, stage and most importantly Name!
Try to add some rich media for one of your choices, a gif, some artwork etc Again don't want a pure list thread.

Street Fighter EX is outside Canon timeline so if there is a particular version for example Undead Nash from SF V you can be specific.

I can't fall too much into the threads rules, since I don't know all that much about the EX series side of things. However when it comes to the street fighter side of things I mainly just want to see Juri and Q. After that all of the fan favorites from the ex series like Skullomania. After that any inclusion would be fine by me. If I had to make a character though, I don't think i'd be able to. If anything it would be a bootleg Regina from Dino Crisis probably named Regena or something.

I thought so too, then I watched them livestreaming it and someone here on GAF in the April Fool's thread was there as well. It's hard to know what's going on because all the information is in Japanese or secondhand - I still have no idea what this is, but I want this game!

This game is more FL than EX.

That's what I want to hear. FL always felt like an evolved EX, it seems natural to just take it and run with it.

I kind of hope the only SNK characters that appear in this are the King Of Fighters Maximum Impact exclusive characters. All the characters that were exclusive to the original 3D spinoffs of Street Fighter and KOF (before SF4 and KOF XIV, of course) in one game. It'd be funny as hell.
