We want (actually, need) to get Steam Achievements in this.

Robert will be getting those in as soon as he or we can do it, we just have a few more fires to put out right now with other stuff

also basically we ran up to the last minute finishing stuff and we still have a few quirks to iron out, but we fully intend to have Achievements soonish.. we need them

This is undoubtedly an irritating question, but is "soonish" sometime today, or sometime this week?

I don't actually care about achievements very much... except if they're added halfway through me playing and I end up getting ones for later in the game and not the ones for the start, which annoyed me immensely with Night In The Woods a few weeks ago.

If you haven't got a timescale (and why should you? Congratulations on the release!) that's no problem. You already have my money; it's just a question of whether I start tonight or later on :)

I pre-ordered on Humble some time ago, will double support and buy a Steam gift copy for a friend who I think will like it. I won't get a chance to play it until after April (like a lot of releases this and last month), but I wish you the best of luck!

Yeah, any idea what's going on with this? I backed it on day 1 and no PSN code yet.

The game is broken on the PS4 at the moment. The version that's live on PS4 is an old beta build that's rather buggy & missing a lot of content. We're currently in the process of patching it. I already have backer PSN codes so I'll send those out as soon as we confirm the game has been fixed.

I miss an auto run toggle or at least double tapping to initiate it. Also there are no cute grunts when the text appears.

As far as Steam achievements go, not today. Maybe this week, maybe in a month, I don't know.

I meant to include an auto run toggle on an option screen, but we were down to the wire in getting the game done & debugged in time for launch.

Preordered to support the game but I won't be playing it for another month most likely until I beat Persona 5. Congrats on the launch guys (seriously I can't believe it's finally out) and I look forward to getting to this

Beat the first boss on second try on Heroine, stopped there for tonight.

Yep, I can definitely see myself enjoying this a whole lot over the Easter weekend. Good job, Zeboyd folks!

How do you quit the game on PC?

Alt-F4 works, obviously, but for a gamepad focused game, that requires getting up from comfy couch to reach keyboard.
Not seeing any option for closing the game in the main menu...

//EDIT: Ah, okay, there's an option in the settings menu...

Just got the game, it's very "choppy" at 144hz. Switched to 60hz and it's fine.

No problems on my G-Sync monitor, although I have the framerate locked to 140 Hz, and am using Kaldaien's Special K.
Extremely smooth scrolling. Like, buttery so.

Press Start and it'll ask if you want to go to the title screen. From the title screen go into the options and select quit.

I had thought that was to quit the OPTIONS, but no its to quit out entirely.

EDIT: Beaten by... the person who needed help! Go fig.

Guess I'll hold on to my money until the issues are fixed

God this soundtrack is PHENOMENAL! I really want to buy this, but it's not out for Vita yet, which is the platform I want it for. Actually, Switch would be the console I'd really kill to have it on.

The soundtrack. My god it's good.

Bummer about the PS4 version not being the right build. I can't play until the weekend though so I'm cool.

Some thoughts from my first hour:

- Run button please.
- Speed up combat button please.
- Cursor memory option please.
- Quicksave controller button combo please.
- Load Game option available from combat please (seriously)

B on gamepad.

God, Robert & William, you have no idea how much I love you for not using bilinear filtering.
Not using point resampling in 2D titles should be a punishable offence.
(Although, an optional CRT filter would be appreciated. Just look up some Retroarch shader examples)

Just booted it up. Thankfully, there are 2x and 3x pixel scale resolutions available (and conveniently placed at the top of the list). Not sure I like that the default select button is Square on a PS4 pad, but I guess I can get used to it.

EDIT - WTF. trying to move left and right with the D-Pad moves the character diagonally northeast/southwest. There is no way to go straight left/right. Also has the same effect in menus, meaning I have to use the analog stick for everything. Tried two different PS4 controllers, rebooted.

Bought and downloading on Steam. Hope it lives up to the hype, but either way happy to support an indie RPG made by a NeoGAF member!

What time is it?

Please don't take this the wrong way but one shouldn't preclude the other. I understand not want people to run the beta version but holding out back keys when the game is available to purchase isn't the best customer service especially when you aren't communicating why. You could send out the keys with a disclaimer or tt the very least send out an update on your campaign explaining the situation and reasoning why you are taking the steps you are taking. Short of reading this thread, backers are in the dark.

Surprisingly hard game. Already grinding a bit to survive. High enemy hp pretty much guarantees that you're gonna have to stick around for 3 to 5 turns per encounter. I'm finding it easier to just do a shitload of fights in an earlier part of the map than to fight hard fights for equal amounts of xp.

What difficulty are you on?

I posted about this on the Kickstarter page ealier, on both the most recent update comment thread and on the general comment thread.

Really liking this so far, combat is simple but Heroine difficulty makes me stay on my toes.

I hope we get some keybinds later, default keyboard controls are not my cup of tea.

Is the correct PS4 version up yet? I downloaded the game last night so what do I need to do now to get the correct final version??

PS4 patch is not up yet. You'll know you're playing the finished version of the game if your main menu has "Insight" in it (the beta has a grayed out Chat command).

I have the patch. It works great. But it's surprisingly tricky to get that patch accepted by the PSN.
