Is the demo any different compared to the japanese one?

So weirdly, matches are now only best of one round, instead of being two by default in the Japanese demo with the option to go up to three. If you go to that same menu on the English demo, it won't budge past one round.

Not...earth shattering or anything, but does mean you'll be booted back to the title screen to setup more often.

Maaan the EShop really needs an upgrade. I like the look (and lack of music) but the categories and navigation is a disaster. Why is this practically hidden in Coming Soon? Most people won't find it without being told. Should be easier to find.

English voices aren't too bad except for everyones favorite

but the inability to set the win conditions to more than one is a real bummer.

Too many people saying they don't need to buy the game, because the demo is enough for them, I guess.

thanks, I'm going to keep the japanese demo

That's true, it's enough if you have an itch to play tetris from time to time

It's worse. Only "one win" matches and the english dub, as usual, is unsufferable and devoid of any charm.
Do we have the option for jap dubs?
This is legit the first time i actually cared.

First time playing a puyopuyo game. Game is hard.

Worth persevering with, once you get the hang of Puyo Puyo and you start racking up chains it's brilliant.

Best puzzle game there is, and a genuinely great competitive game as well.

One of the most generous demos ever released. I am preordering because i got great trade values back near launch but if i was broke the demo would be permanantly installed for quick tetris sessions.

Does anyone feel like the US demo is way easier than the Japanese version? I assume this is just so people don't get frustrated against the CPU but it's the first thing I noticed.

Why no PS4 demo? Is there a mode in this game identical to Tetris Ultimate's battle? Also, is it possible to disable the "hold" function?

Makes sense. I'd imagine most Japanese players are used to Puyo Puyo more than US players and would most likely be better.

Been hooked on the JP demo. Hopefully the English voices aren't too bad, definitely buying day one either way.

I brought my Switch to work today! So on my train ride home (65-ish minutes) I am going to try this out. I am looking forward to it.

Unrelated: I also bought Turf Masters this morning. I love golf games, so I am hoping this will be worth the price of a fancy sandwich!

Wow the english voices are so godawful that i am about to cancel my preorder if the game wont give me the option for original voices.

Anyone some info on that?

Man, the fish and bear scientist voices are so much poorer in English.
I'm still gonna buy it since i love playing tetris on the go, but i lost a fair bit of hype playing the English version of the demo.
