Rumor: Call of Duty: WWII to launch on November 3rd

I can live with a 1 month "exclusive" deal on the PS4.
1 month goes by pretty fast ... a year exclusive deal .. well, that's something else.

So yeah. Fuck you Activision.
Wha.. what the hell are you taking about?
It's a monthly deal - always has been, always will be.

Where is this "year exclusive deal" nonsense coming from?

I like how Activision is always so coy about when the new game releases before they announce even though you can set your watch by the fucking things at this point.

That said WW2 is exciting to finally go back to

Destiny 2
Red Dead 2 (?)
Assassins Creed (?)
COD
Battlefront 2
Xbox and ain't will each have something first party
Mario
Nintendo will have something else as well.

Plus the usual Fifa, NBA, Madden,

Yep that's a pretty good line up along with Destiny 2. Though some people think they are to cool to get excited about big AAA stuff ;)

Please don't suck.. Please be good... I loved the ww2 cods on PC.. Those games and the medal of honor series games were the bomb years ago..

Yo trailer drop please?

If history repeats itself, then expect a trailer drop late this month or early next month. Here's the dates of recent CoD reveals

Ghosts - Teaser on May 1st with the reveal taking place at the Xbox One reveal onMay 21st
Advance Warfare - May 1st
Black Ops 3 - April 26th
Infinite Warfare - May 2nd

Looks like a Playstation marketing logo in the top left corner. Sigh. So again a 30 day longer wait to get access to content I paid for.

Fuck you Sony, fuck you Activision, fuck every company who does this, fuck the people who make these deals. You aren't bringing better "value" to your costumers, you're actively fucking over costumers.

i had to laugh at your faux outrage

With the direction that CoD killstreaks have been going, I wouldn't be surprised to see the option to deploy heavy bombers, V1 rockets or tactical nukes (again) if you reach a certain killstreak.

you could just not buy the content, there are more player numbers with out dlc than with every release.

Is the E3 stage demo Normandy... or do they save that for the actual players to experience?

And, if it's not Normandy... what do they show?
Bastone with some sweet snow physics?

It'd serve them well to scale everything back. If this is a straight WWII game and not some alternate history take on it, then there's no reason or even way that it can be as bombastic as they series has become and still fit within the timeframe. Just scale it back and simplify things again to match the time period. I actually think even longtime fans would appreciate that as it'd completely separate it from the other directions of the series and allow each to stand out more.

I hope if they follow a squad through Normandy to VE Day that at some point you piss off your CO and get transferred to the 99th Division. It'd be treated as a fuck you to forcibly transfer this experienced squad to such a green Division, then the Stand at Lanzerath happens, and later when heaps of praise is being thrown on your unit, you can give the CO the best shit eating grin next gen can muster.

i'd prefer the classic jump-in and out of different soldier's perspectives after each mission, it helps with the pacing. though Infinite Warfare had a great campaign and followed a singular character, so as long as it's good i don't care.

I really hope they go back to following multiple soldiers from various countries. This gen has been pretty much 100% locked in with 1 protagonist from the US. I understand that they're doing that to try to make it easier for players to connect with the characters, but for the most part I don't think it's really worked (although Reyes in IW was decent).

Listen to the unused audio from World @ War they were going to have crazy killstreaks in it that were eventually dropped.

The flying boat(Black Cats) gunner from the campaign was going to be in MP originally.

Japan = Kamikaze
USA= B-17 bomber
Germany = Carpet bomb
Russia = Missile truck

That's so far from a true statement.

Black Ops on the Wii and Black Ops II on the Wii U. Though I think the gap between the consoles is too big right now for Activision to dedicate resources to a Switch version of this CoD. But who knows in a year if the Switch is showing healthy growth, and the next Treyarch instalment comes out.

Edit: MW was on Wii as well iirc

this meme is so old. Who cares what the engines is. Infinite War and Advanced Warfare are amazing looking titles.

I asked that out of curiosity since my favourite CoD was world at war and could never get back to the others because how same-y it was.

Also I've been around to hear the yearly backlash of "same engine copy paste".

Other IPs evolve and get new engines, see Star Wars and Halo. I'm asking if this CoD will see the same treatment also.

Yeah, I admit I would be surprised, but I would be interested to see if they have tried to scale it.

Edit: Ghosts was also on WiiU, they also did DS "ports"

A quick youtube look out for newer cod titles would answer your problem though. They changed engine or atleast modified so hard its not even noticable anymore.

here are some infinite war and advanced war videos.

Has been the first Friday in November the past couple of games so this makes sense.

Truth is I could never really get into WW shooters, was never a huge fan of COD 2, 3 or WAW. I am not down on the future games as people are because I think AW and COD were done right. IW was awful so I am ready for a change. I am excited.

COD Infinite Warfare and BO3 dropped in price pretty quick, likely because of all the Microtransactions + DLC money they get so less loss for them.

So will wait for this to drop in price alot before i pick it up

I'm not seeing this strong holiday everyone else is talking about

Neither am I. Q1 has been astounding this year, but everything announced so far for years end is just uninteresting to me. But frankly I've found the past few Q4s to be pretty dull.

Sorry to say it but a move back to WW2 also kills any interest I'd have in this.

It's cool to see them going back to WWII, so I may just rent it for single player for that reason alone, but I still fear for the MP. CoD these days is just... over saturated (if that makes sense) in my opinion.

I just feel they will add too much bullshit to the MP and it will make it into something a Multiplayer WWII game shouldn't be.
