This is how I see it too. There is one more thing, though: IIRC in OoT, it was said that the one male Gerudo that is born every 100 years has to become king of the Gerudo. BotW on the other hand, shows that they have their own Royal family, although in this case it's only queens and princesses. Male Hylians that marry into the Royal family are still not allowed inside the city so they are not considered to be kings.
It's unexplained if the old rule that made Ganondorf the King of the Gerudo would still be in effect if a new male Gerudo is born.

Technically NO gerudo are "full blood" Gerudo. It just seems their gene pool must be really damn strong to consistently product people with Gerudo characteristics even with Hylian fathers.

Pretty sure the basis for that argument is that the Gerudos fear their males now, not that they want to stop Ganon from reincarnating. Dude's already still around in BotW as is...

Not quite, the person who gives you the clothing is a brown-skinned Hylian man pretending to be a Gerudo woman. The Gerudo all see through his Gerudo disguise and recognize him as a Hylian, but they cannot tell he's a man and therefore didn't kick him out of town when he was in there.

I only meant to dispute that they were Gerudo via an NPC quote (but I didn't put it in quotes, oops), which I thought the orignal post was suggesting regarding the idea that a Gerudo male exists. The relevant part was "Hylian." Sorry for the confusion!

It could just be an art-style change but some have noticed that, unlike the artwork for Ocarina of Time that depicted Gerudo with rounded ears, the Gerudo of Breath of the Wild all share the pointed ears that Hylians have.

So perhaps Hylian characteristics have had a slow impact on the Gerudo.

Presumably Zelda's last name is Hyrule, at least most of the time. It definitely is in Breath of the Wild.

That was my interpretation as well. All newborns are girls and dominant genes mean they all look Gerudo.

Stuff posted on official NOA sites regarding Zelda lore, outside of actual interviews, has a sketchy history at best. I would take this with a giant grain of salt unless the NCL equivalent has this info or Zelda Team confirms.

"Took the form of", IIRC. I think it was more to do with his origins becoming obscured over time as well as the Gerudo understandably wanting to distance themselves from him.

I took it to mean that they understand it was Demon King Demise who took the form of a Gerudo as Ganondorf. That this demon is now known as Calamity Ganon because it once took that form to gain power in the physical world.

In this way, Ganondorf is basically the Hyrule antichrist.
