Rumor: Call of Duty: WWII to launch on November 3rd

Looking forward to this, skipped the last few. Nice to get back to some more traditional gameplay too, unless it's all a scam and somehow still uses time travelling super soldiers. Whelp.

I have zero excitement for another WW2 game and that's good because of Destiny 2 launching in September. Will still watch all of the reveals, though.

Should have just dropped a full fledge future title with mechs and remastered World at War. It's not like COD runs on some amazing engine so WW2's dramatic action won't properly be displayed as it would else where.

World at War isn't Cod4. The point last year was to help prop up Infinite Warfare. Which helped. I don't think there's a large amount of people willing to pay extra, for a game they don't want, just to get W@W. I also imagine they plan to release more dlc for Cod4, along with a standalone package. We'll probably see MW2 next year.

The time stamp and the overall presentation looks genuine.

If there's a long campaign I might be interested... give me something double the length of the World At War campaign, on all fronts, and we're good.

GAF -> Internet -> GAF

What's insane to me is Jason seemed to just be naking an educated guess, not posting insider information, even though the article paints it as such. Call of Duty has been announced at the end of April, beginning of May, for 6-7 years now. That's not a secert, it's record. Gotta get those hits though.

I can't believe that we're hopefully getting a non wall running non jump jetting non pink Mohawk CoD. Like a dream come true.

Nice

My first XP with COD was Jan. 2006 - the day I got my 360.

It came with COD II, and I fucking LOVED IT... Could be why I'm so geeked about COD:WWII

I like that era, the aesthetics of the weapons and artillery - Brothers in Arms was one of my favorite shows way back in the day too...just love the time/genre overall

I know they won't do it for the full game, but if we could at least get a little MP playlist that goes full COD1 (no sprinting, fast walking, health bars, grenades as equipment), I'd die of excitement.

If they do this right, I probably won't be able to resist going back to COD. Last COD I enjoyed was BO1 and stopped buying after MW3.

WW2 is still my favourite era for shooters.

Infinite Warfare, the game who's reveal had one of the worst thumbs up/thumbs down ratios on YouTube, was the top selling game of 2016. The fact that you had to buy IW to play MWR proves there is a large amount of people willing to pay extra for a game that don't want i.e. IW for MWR.

That's not of popular opinion on here anymore sadly.

The online pop for the game is great though. I think it's one of those things that when people aren't happy, they complain. When they are fine with something, they really don't say anything. I think MWR is a great game, but I haven't spent the time to praise it - I'll rather play instead ;)

And side note - usually the people who complain don't necessary play it. They read what the updates are, and then complain.

And again like last year every shooter coming out this holiday looks incredible!!! Normally id pick one but fuck it ill probably just play them all

Really excited for the setting, but Battlefront 2 will win my money for November. I'll most likely pick this up on sale just to play the campaign. Hoping for that reveal soon! I want to know what this will look/play like after the last few games.

.

World at War isn't Cod4. That's my point. There may be people willing to buy it, but not enough that it could prop up another sci fi game. Especially with Destiny and Battlefront 2 coming up, both of which are going to sell 15mil+ copies.

Oh, I see the point you were making ;)

Yeah there is some serious hyperbole that its P2W. I've unlocked 2 of the guns just through regular play. Not spent a dime on it. They arent better than the guns in the game already.

Good thing Titanfall and Battlefield are taking breaks this year because there's going to be a ton of good FPSs to play.

It's in the same vein as COD4, Before they ruined the series with MW2, 3 killstreaks only, no lightning quick TTK.

Plus it had a fun co op campaign + the original zombies.

I really hope that Call of Duty will be released on the Nintendo Switch :)

Fingers crossed. Really only the Wii U saw the limited collection of COD titles missing from their library - AW, BO3 and IW.

Wii still has consistently high online players playing MW Reflex, MW3 and BO1 today.

Looking forward to the announcement. Although the thing I'm most interested about is how the mp is going to turn out. Man, I really want this game.

I doubt they'll just dump a trailer and a press release today. Much more likely at most they might announce the name today and say to watch the NBA Playoffs this weekend for the trailer or have a countdown which lines up with then.

I think they'll want to start building some hype for the weekend, but highly unlikely they just parp out a trailer for a Call of Duty game.

If it is going to be revealed today, then in 13 or so minutes we could see it as that's usually the time we start seeing news from the west coast.

me right now

I know, west coast and all, but still

Honesty, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I've come to take COD rumors with a grain of salt. I remember before E3 2014, VG24 reported that Advanced Warfare was coming to the Wii U. Yeah, that never happened.

I don't expect anything really. Would be a nice surprise though.

I agree. Cod will be announced in the next two weeks, but there's no guarantee it'll happen today.
