Spider-Man 3.1 (New cut supervised by Sam Raimi) included in Japanese SM Trilogy Set

As Sartre noted in his contemplation on Hell in No Exit, the true horror is other members.
Movie looks so good now in comparison to the ones that came after it. I just have the Raimi trilogy on DVD, so fuckit, I'm down.

We need more scenes like this.

We need a montage of Peter dancing around to the entirety of People Get Up And Drive Your Funky Soul (9 minutes).

The movie's 10 years old Thursday. Damn. I remember seeing it in high school with friends and telling them it might not be that great. They told me to shut up. After we left the theater I, with a fiendish smile, asked them what they thought. They told me to shut up.

Emo Peter wasn't THAT bad it fell in line with the cornish vibe of the rest of the series anyway

I need a pic of brock's face tho when he had the suit on with that goofy ass smile. I still feel like I can trace back the end of his career with that picture

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
After a decade of gifs, this film belongs on GAF's favorite films of all-time listing.

Still salty about how 3 turned out, but the Raimi films were still leagues better the ASM movies we got afterwards.

Recently rewatched it and it's an incredibly frustrating movie. There's like 50% of great stuff, almost rivaling SM2, and then there's the other 50% that's unmitigated garbage. I don't love the Raimi films as much as others on GAF but I wish we had gotten his real SM3 and SM4.

Disappointing movie after how good the first 2 are but all the comedy scenes in here are still excellent. Its everything else that was a let down. But the comedic through-line of raimis spiderman trilogy remained top tier

Bernard is the WOAT Butler btw lol. Imagine if he was Bruce Waynes Butler in the dark knight. Dude definitely would not have burnt that letter from Rachel at the end.

Honestly, given Raimi's record with previous SM films, I'm interested to see if it was improved at all. The film has lots of issues and the studio meddling is so evident, but I still feel half the film was the good continuation of the other films (warts and all) and if it wasn't for Venom getting shoehorned, the film could have been good.

I'm at least more interested in this than other recent extended cuts that are basically thinly veiled ways to milk more money out of fans for poor films and an apology that rarely fixes much (Rogue Cut I'm looking at you, didn't even care to buy BvS or Suicide Squad just to see if they maybe marginally improved).

Edit: so this was a typo? Eh and nothing of value was lost. Or is maybe there still is? Someone wake me if it comes out and is any good.

I want Raimi to do a romcom starring Tobey and Bruce Campbell.

Explain to me why people consider Spider-Man 2 the greatest superhero movie of all time? It's fucking got so much cheese to it. The only good Spider-Man movie was the first one because William Defoe was a great Goblin.

I'm actually disappointed. Even if SM3 isn't a very good film, an extended cut always seemed too good to be true. I was interested to see what the actual extra scenes would have been, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
