I was really down on it being Ed because of what we've already seen of him, but damn, he actually looks cool there. Psycho power steroids puttin' in the work.
He drains Barlog's power maybe? It is jarring to see such a big change.

It's been said that the psycho power in him is causing him to age rapidly. It was pointed out in the story modes.
It's why he have grown so much since SFIV while the girl Chun keeps saving since SF2 still a kid. ( ￣ ³￣
What's the point of introducing characters in the story mode and use them for new characters later down the road if you redesign them entirely. Yes, you can make the 'he aged up' but even then. I feel like this might as well be an entirely different character here (the boxing gloves alone).
In the story mode Ed had something going on with his hand:
which could have been a cool part of his moveset.

They just changed the buff slider from min to max. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

It's pretty obvious that he's gonna use that in his moveset but what archetype he falls into still remains to be seen.
