Not looking forward to a mixed reality section of the conference. The Minecraft stuff in the past couple of years has been bad enough. Hopefully they keep it to a minimum and let people at the show experience it for themselves instead.

My homerun balls-to-walls prediction for Microsoft is they have a Marvel exclusive. And just for funsies, I'm going to say it's a AAA Punisher game inspired by Max Payne.

At the end of the day all this marketing stuff won't matter all that much for a great show. And if they even have AR/VR there, sigh. To me that Hololens part at their show always felt like filler because it's not exactly all that interesting for Xbox and gamers and we maybe won't even get to use it anytime soon.

And I thought Phil wasn't too fond of VR at the moment? I recall a tweet about that. Well, sure sounds like it will definitely contain at least one boring part unfortunately. Or even two, with Minecraft and all that.

Sorry, just can't get excited for that. Still looking forward to finally seeing proper Crackdown gameplay though and hopefully some unannounced stuff.

It sucks they're going to show off AR/VR stuff. That Minecraft stuff was cringey and most people didn't care for it at all. Especially, with how people will compare them to Sony.

Cyberpunk 2077 is another good candidate for a marketing deal. They had it for The Witcher and given the differences between the PC and console versions of that game, "better on Scorpio" could be very enticing.

I don't care much for comparisons with Sony. Both do their own thing their own way but this IS indeed a waste of time when you already only have 90 minutes. Hopefully they keep it brief, especially when it seemed Xbox wasn't all that interested on VR in the first place. If we go by what Phil Spencer said they want to wait until it's more than glorified tech demos or something along those lines.

As for that game. Very likely AC because it's clear that the new one will soon be announced and Splinter Cell seems unlikely to me. But a game from another company is possible too of course. But I can definitely see it, Ubi announces AC later this month, then bit of gameplay at MS and more at Ubi show.

Don't think Cyberpunk will be at e3.

With recently that report that a lot of work was lost due to someone leaving or something like that and I think they said they still have quite a ways to go, I doubt we will hear or see anything of Cyberpunk.

Unfortunately, VR type demos are never going to be entertaining at these type of press events, unless you're actually experiencing it in person, it just won't ever be impressive, especially when MS so obviously stages it and it still comes across as dull

Why not keep this stuff for articles and maybe a video on the Internet? I thought E3 was all about games according to again, Phil Spencer? Not only will we get the Scorpio reveal which is understandable but also VR/AR stuff. Hopefully as brief as possible.

Just the headset and controller, give some info and price and DONE. That PSX show two years ago perfectly showed how VR demonstrations suck big time. They just aren't fun to see at all. I would hope MS looked at that and decided not to do that.

My money is on Biowares new IP given the cozy relationship between MS and EA, the fact that this new IP is a Destiny competitor, and the fact that Sony has a marketing deal for Destiny

And that Shinobi is close with Bioware employees, so he'd have the inside scoop on it.

Why do you trust Phil so much? lol

But announcing you got the marketing rights to a game that won't be coming until sometime in 2018 or even 2019? Because EA recently announced that.

Nah it's not about that. I realize that there's plenty of PR talk from them but saying they didn't care all that much about VR did sound believable and made sense to me.

I'd love for Microsoft to have some kind of marketing partnership this fall. I just want a good third party game bundled with my eventual Scorpio purchase! Assassin's Creed would be a great value add there. Otherwise I'd probably have to settle for Crackdown or Sea of Thieves.

Man they got the shittiest multiplatform games this gen for marketing. Man they better bring some serious exclusive heat if they gonna start parading around with the same tired ass games to fill in the gap.
