So that Snoop CD....

Isn't bad at all. Several tracks he brings back that old school sound. Old school as in Doggystyle sound.

That track Vapors could be straight from his debut album. Dope as hell!

I was listening to blue carpet treatment the other day which is a great snoop album. It seems a bit underrated since it never really gets much discussion but it's a nice return to g funk for snoop. Good vibes and classic lyrics that make you a misogynist 👀

Not normally looking into new snoop albums but that one he had a couple years ago after he got out of his stupid reggae phase was pretty decent and the new track he dropped with method man and red had a nice old school sound. Will give this one a listen soon

Several tracks has that sound on here bro

I think you'll dig it. As for me, I should check out that Blue Carpet Treatment CD again soon then. It's been a long time since I listened to that. Dude released so many albums, can't keep track of it. But there's plenty that really isn't worth it.

Okay, gonna give the new Snoop a listen, lol. Obviously not expecting anything outstanding, but maybe a few smooth tracks. His album with Dâm-Funk years ago was cool.

Just started Neva Left (Snoops new album) and the opening either samples C.R.E.A.M or whatever C.R.E.A.M sampled.
Damn, how did you notice that??

It's the only album of his I can go back to other than Doggystyle.

Yea I think Snoop has had some low key dopeness over his past albums that people sleep on. Ego Trippin, Blue Carpet Treatment, BUSH and 7 Days of Funk were all pretty fuckin smooth.

Haven't listened to COOLAID and definitely had no idea he had a new album out so I'm on that as soon as I get off work today.

LOL.. it's a remix, from his second album.

Bunch of these songs sound like maybe old B-sides or recordings he had from his late 90s style.

And IMO, everything past Doggystyle Snoop fell off; it's a small drop but it's noticeable to me. His flow just isn't the same as it is on The Chronic / Doggystyle and other random songs he did pre-Dre leaving Death Row.

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed The Doggfather (partly due to all the DJ Quick beats.)

I have a deep knowledge of Hip Hop, that's why I'm always able to spot the really obscure samples like that.
Did you know that Blood On The Leaves samples Strange Fruit?
Totally tubular right?

CREAM is obscure? lol... I think you guys are being sarcastic. That was the most obvious "sample" in hip hop history.

Video game side just being video game side when it comes to characters being minorities instead of white.
Ahh, that thread, lol. Man, as a Zelda fan it's been embarrassing to read all these silly "Link being a girl would destroy my childhood memories"-type of posts since 2014, too.

You know, I generally shake my head at people whining about race-swapping of their ffavorite characters, but I have to admit, recently I've had a realization, which showed me my own potential hypocrisy and somehow made me kinda understand some of the arguments
I'M THE BIGGEST HYPOCRITE OF 2017. ONCE I FINISH THIS, WITNESSES WILL CONVEY JUST WHAT I MEAN.
. I was thinking, what if they, for example, made Cloud in FFVIIR black, without his iconic spiky blonde hair? I know I would have absolutely no fucking rational argument for how and why his skin color or hair defines his personality/character arc in any way in the original story. My argument would literally be the same superficial one as that of the people I make fun of for whining on here about a black James Bond, Spiderman etc. "It's just the way he always looked and we've known him like that!", blah blah.

Hmm, I don't know... I'd probably get used to it quickly, I guess. Curious, what do you guys think about this example?

Spotify Discover weekly recommended this album called Cashmere by Swet Shop boyz. The group has that one guy from Das Racist. Its a decent listen.
The other one is the actor from The Night of/Rogue One/Four Lions.

That Bayonetta sample in that second track is sooo fuego
Oh, cool. What song was sampled?

Anyone know this track I heard at work today? I don't know who raps on it or what any of the lyrics are but all I remember is a starts with a sample of a japanese singer and then the sample keeps on going as the beat. I'm guessing it's pretty recent since I hear it on Beats1 all the time.
