No Timesplitters 3 for GC?

Is Timesplitters Future Perfect still coming for GC? I don't see it on any site, and I don't think it was at E3. What happened?

Does it really matter if it's on the Cube? Online play in the other two versions makes the Cube version quite inferior.

The game doesn't even interest me. I was only asking if it was coming to Cube. And I have my answer. And anyway, the game look to play as bad as the others.

They still have no excuse to make it lan compatible, i mean at least let the pple with BB adaptors play it online with these pc programs......

time splitters is awesme and its shame it wont be online for gamecube.

I agree with this.

Is there any good reason why games like this (and others like Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow or the EA Sports games) aren't online on the GameCube? The hardware to connect a GC to the Internet certainly exists. As far as servers are concerned, they should be able to use the same servers as the PlayStation 2 versions.

I agree. LAN code isn't anything terribly complicated or anything.

Two things odd at e3...

First, the Sony booth had Timesplitters labled as -exclusive- to the PS2.

Secondly, I remember noticing that the Timesplitters game in the Sony booth had a -different subtitle- than the one showing in the Nintendo booth.

Timesplitters 3 will be online for the Xbox. It was shown in EA's press conference when they announced that they'll be supporting XBL.

But who really gives a damn about Timesplitters anyway? The series bites.

It should be most popular on GC, shouldn't it? I mean, Timesplitters's hopelessly outdated gameplay mainly appeals to people who are still sadly clinging to Goldeneye.

Outdated gameplay, you mean like Halo 1? Might explain why it sold more on Xbox then.

I'm surprised people are actually dissing TS. It's fun, and that's all that matters man. And anyway, TS3 is set to make the one player game great - multi has always been the bomb!

Agreed. Time Splitters 1 good, but Time Splitters 2 was highly overrated.

Timeplitters 3 looks great on GameCube...I still don't like the controls, but I can deal with them. My friends never got very interested in TS2, so I'm looking forward to the improvements in story mode.

I was reading a interview/question as to why Metroid prime didn't have a lan mode and Retro gave an informative technical setback.

something about ram...I'm not sure, I'll go look for it.

My guess is that he thought it wasn't coming for GC and was trolling in hopes of another GC is doomed thread.

Anyways, TS2 rocked... second best console FPS this gen next to Halo, and better than Halo in some ways (arcade challenges and multiplayer options). I hope TS3 turns out good.

I remember Free Radical saying it would be online for every system, like a year ago. That must have been nixed by outside influence.

What's up with all the Hate in here, Ts2 rocks.

TS2 multiplayer is very well-done. Whenever I have people over to play some games, TS2 inevitably gets a lot of the playtime. Four people vs. ten five-star bots at the "Frantic" speed setting is just nuts. There are one or two decent capture the flag maps too.

That said, I'm looking forward to TS3, which is coming out for the GC, no matter what anyone says.
