PlatinumGames Tease a Mysterious New IP

It'll be called "I have a huge fucking dragon with me", no relation to Scalebound.

Edit: If they were to make a spiritual successor to God Hand, I'd have no problem with that either.

Inaba-san added that he doesn’t know if the studio will keep up the pace of one title per year, but they’re looking forward to make new games for the fans.
2017 - Nier Automata
2018 - Granblue Fantasy RE Link
2019- ???

Possibly 2019 for this than?

MS and Platinum kissed and made up, kinda and they announce Scalebound is back in development during E3.

In a different kind of reality of course. In our reality it's dead as can be. Wonder what this could be and for what platforms.

Damn, I posted this like 2 hours ago in the "E3 2017 - Hopes. Dreams. Predictions"-thread:

Probably won't happen, but let me dream:
...
New PG game (likely for Switch). I fully expect that so the game is not a "dream" by itself, just that it gets shown at this E3 already.
...

Is it already time? :)

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
Nice. Hopefully this one does well from the start. I wonder who's the publisher.

Maybe the MS trademark renew is related to this. They know P* will announce a new IP during E3, not on their platform, and don't want to look weak.

Ehh.... Where are you getting this from? We don't know a single thing about this new IP but you already know Xbox isn't getting it? Jez Corden said it was renewed to avoid copyright issues in the future.

Could they be developing it by themselves if they are the ones teasing it?

Was wondering the same, it might be Platinum's first self funded game, the big goal the company has always wanted to achieve.

If so it'll be something modest budget wise, but they gotta start from somewhere and i can see them releasing it on PC and consoles (Switch included).

Probably not for Switch it could be a PC,PS4 game, with multiple protagonists.

Based on what? Platinum has literally already said they're developing for the Switch, and we know from them saying they'd like to.poet Nier if SE paid them that it's not that.

PlatinumGames – Atsushi Inaba

PlatinumGames has already come out saying we’re developing games for the Nintendo Switch, so we understand what the hardware is capable of.
