End of an era.

I hope he stays in football. Is there any legend I respect besides our madridistas, it's Totti. Won't ever forget when I saw him for real in Rome, and he's always been a role model for so many. Too bad I missed his final game, but I wish him all the best going forward.

Athletico President to Marca

I tell you, Griezmann isn't going anywhere. Atletico's project is interesting, and he loves Siemone.

Seems like Inter is slightly interested in James Rodriguez and has offered us €42 million, but we want more. I expect talks to continue after the Champions League final.

Everyone was saying we were getting Silva too and then off he fucks to City.
No they weren't, just the gossip press were saying that. There is a difference between people that write anything to get paid and people like Di Marzio.

So I have a question.

When your team wins, do you buy the shirt with which they became champion or the one with the new star?

It's been way too long since my team was champion and I don't know anymore, lol. I just promised myself I would get the shirt when they became champions, and they finally did.
I always get one eventually with the new star, since I'm heading to Guadalajara in a month, I'm hoping they have the 12th star jersey ready

Looks like Madrid is getting Theo and Marcos Llorente this summer.

Great signings imo if true.

Yes. Theo was confirmed for €24 million some days ago. Llorente will definitely return for the pre-season, and we'll see from there how it goes. He can be a great competitor to Casemiro. Hopefully we bring back Jesus Vallejo too.

Chivas Campeon! Last time they won the league was 2006, I was 12 years old. So happy to finally get that 12th star.
Congrats on winning the league! :)

conte's strength is finding a single ruthlessly effective setup and playing it incredibly consistently to stomp over all the average teams in a league season. i think you can see his limitations in a manager in how allegri's juve won three coppa italias (conte - zero) and got to the cl final in two of his three seasons (conte - flopped) - these are tournaments that require tactically agile managers.

i think chelsea will drop off next year. people will start to figure out the 3-4-3 and be prepared, plus i think their attack has a few weaknesses and they depended on hazard and costa being incredibly clutch at crucial moments this year which is hard to repeat, especially when you have more games, like we've seen with vardy & mahrez. however this point is premature till i see how conte adds to his squad.

Yes, it's frustrating how little Conte rotates the squad, and his late substitutions drive me bonkers. But still, didn't expect a titlenthis season so it's obvious he knows what he's doing.

Don't think Diego Costa will be at Chelsea next season, the way he came off in the last premier league match of the season, felt like he was saying goodbye.

Fresh thread seems like a place to try and properly get involved this time around.

You gonna be at Wembley, or just watching? I'm gonna be there with my parents, though uh, we'll be supporting the team whose blue and white is horizontal...

Sorry, late reply!

Currently on a coach down, can't miss this.

the only moment I enjoyed on Saturday at Wembley was before the match, when two Arse fans were walking away from the stadium to a pub and some Chelsea fans yelled, 'Did you lot already lose again?' Everyone chuckled, including the Arsenal fans.

whats the chatter about Ederson (Benfica goalkeeper) going to City over there in the Queen's land?

they are saying its a done deal here, for stupid numbers too which I find hard to believe (50mill)

My team was relegated from Ligue 1 yesterday night after the play-offs, I'm absolutely gutted.
No more going to football matches next season because of games happening on friday nights.

Split on who I want to win. On the one hand mg mate supports Reading, on the other hand, Huddersfield is managed by a good friend of Klopp's so that might be fun. Plus it'd be a good place to send people on loan.

I nust confess that, even as a Reading supporter, I wouldn't mind if Huddersfield took it. Both clubs have managed an impressive turnaround from last year when they were 17th and 19th respectively by betting on first time managers (well, Wagner managed a reserve team, so Huddersfield can be considered his first 'full' gig), and have something to achieve today - Huddersfield being in the Premier League for the first time, Reading winning promotion via playoff. Either result would be a fairy tale ending for their respective clubs.

Just hoping for a good, exciting game in all.

What team are you supporting? And I feel sorry for you. Hope they'll be able to promote as fast as possible.

The rumours have been that the agreement has been sorted between the player and the clubs since March but its sorting out the third party side of things that has been taking time.

At Wembley, blue and white everywhere - having to double check which way the stripes run. Also feels weird to see armed police.

Reus would have been the best german player since matthäus if it weren't for those nasty injuries

Feel bad for him

It's more confusing that both teams kept chanting blue and white army as we were going up Wembley way.

Lorient FC in France. I think our most famous old players right now would be Koscielny and Guerreiro before they joined Arsenal and Dortmund. Gameiro was here too.
Sadly, I'm not too optimistic about our promotion chances until our president is gone. He took over a few years ago and ruined decades of effort with his greediness and incompetence.

Spalletti going to Inter?

Some said that it is done deal there but i am not sure.

I mean, Spaletti moving from Roma to Inter.....is not something i think as a great move if he wanted to move away from highly stressful team to manage into....another team with highly stressful environment lol.

Not the most exciting first half. Unfortunately, our high possession play has tended to have a weakness against teams actually confident enough to challenge us for the ball. Huddersfield seem way more eager at the moment.
