Just announced. Enters Alpha Testing today.

Some notes:

During the Alpha Test, you can find 134 different Pokémon, complete 52 stages and climb Champion Tower to 15 floors
Data from the test will be deleted when the game comes out.
The game is the first Pokémon mobile game to use the Nintendo Account. Using the Nintendo Account, you can move stored data between devices and your Mii will appear.
The game will unlock new islands when you spend diamonds.
It requires an online connection.
The game has a special detector to find Pokémon which can only be used once every 30 minutes.
You can power up your Pokémon toys by using P and Gears obtained in the game.

Website. Why this wasn't in the OP I have no clue...

Confirmed of course to be by Ambrella. I hope this may allow Ambrella to do something different on Switch. I'm pretty tired of seeing them make Rumble games (and using the same models since Ranch). Can't we get a true Hey You Pikachu 2 or something?

Y'know, I liked it a lot better back when most of the new Pokémon spinoffs weren't free to start mobile crap... :/

Now that Pokemon games are making their way to mobile with microtransactions I really feel for Joe's wallet.

I didn't like it on 3ds.

and probably will not even try it on mobile..

Pokemon go has a great concept compared to this one

I was pretty naïve to think Ambrella would work on something new this time around. It feels like they are beating a dead horse at this point, but at least it's a mobile game instead of a Switch title. I've said this before, I have no problem with these types of games moving to mobile as long as we get more ambitious projects on dedicated consoles. I hope something interesting is announced soon for Switch, so that the Pokémon fanbase is motivated to move over early on.

Incidentally, I wonder how they plan to use Nintendo Account moving forward. I'm guessing they will follow a case-by-case approach and implement it only on the bigger and more made-for-profit games. Which is a shame, since Magikarp Jump is more quality than this. :p

To review, the Pokemon games available on the App/Google Play store now include:
  1. Pokemon GO
  2. Pokemon Shuffle
  3. Pokemon TCG Online
  4. Pokemon: Magikarp Jump
  5. Pokemon Duel (that one based on the short-lived "Trading Figure Game")
  6. Camp Pokemon (the one you might not have heard of since it seems targeted to little kids)
This will be the seventh one; TPC smoking Nintendo in terms of app output, lol.

The "Rumble" series has been poorly reviewed of late, but I remember having some fun with the Wii version, so I will probably try this out when it finally gets here.

There have been so many more.

Also, Camp Pokémon and TCGO are actually TPCi rather than TPC.

Jeez they churning out the crappy mobile games like clockwork.

Not gonna bother downloading this as I know that I will eventually end up deleting it.

It's also disappointing to see that the Pokémon spin-off being booted off to the mobile market, as while I didn't care for the some of the spin off I did enjoy Pokkén, Stadium, the Orre series and Rangers series.

Here's a list including apps and removed games/apps:

PnbQnLK.png

Blue: International games
Red: Japan-only TPC games
Green: TPCi games
Grey: Japan-only TPC apps
Yellow: TPCi apps
White: Third-party apps/games

They also have a ton of themes and stickers for LINE, Yahoo! and Apple messenger applications, plenty digital guides, official support for iTunes and Google Play... The Pokémon Company is certainly active in the mobile space.

Pokémon Ongaku Zukan was also in the west as Pokémon Jukebox :)

Whoops, indeed. Grey was actually for TPC apps, only one of which made it outside of Japan. I guess the iOS Pokédex could also kinda count as an app, but it's a fringe case considering that it has a 3DS counterpart. :p

Got weirdly into Pokemon Rumble on the Wii.
I say weirdly because it's super dull and simple, but it's compelling getting new Pokemon to use if you have a friend playing with you. It's a game to just tune out and chat at the same time.

The issue with this game is that it's automatic. You can control your attacks, but movement is automatic.

It shouldn't be on mobile IMO

Wait... this uses Nintendo account?

Nintendo needs to add that shit to all the other Pokemon games. It's becoming a confusing clusterfuck.

Their approach to Nintendo coins and rewards is becoming unscalable. Is every switch game gonna get this too?

Right now their mobile games are so much better. Actual account tied. Cloud saves. Integrated achievements.

They need to reveal online plans pronto.
