Bandai Namco debut at No1 on the Entertainment Software All Prices Top 40 (Units) with ‘Tekken 7’ (across PS4/Xbox One/PC), a first Tekken series No1 debut since ‘Tekken 3’ on PS1 back in week 37, 1998.

The last outing for Tekken was ‘Tekken Tag Tournament 2’ in week 37, 2012 (debuted at No2 behind Square Enix’s ‘Sleeping Dogs’) and the last outing in the main series was ‘Tekken 6’ which debuted at No8 in week 44, 2009 (new No1/No2 that week were ‘Football Manager 2010’ and ‘Wii Fit Plus’). Activision’s ‘Overwatch’ continues a massive sales spike thanks to price promotion, remaining at No2 and Warner’s ‘Injustice 2’ drops to No3 after 2 weeks at the top. Also debuting this week is Ubisoft’s PS VR experience ‘Star Trek: Bridge Crew’ at No16 and Milestone’s ‘MXGP 3’ at No22.

Cross posting from previous thread:

using injustice 2 estimate from week 20
it sold 18,633
2 Week total 57,453 + digital
Far point sold less than 14,363 so now every title above it sold > 3,016 approximately bad look for the Surge
Since both Injustice SKUs are at the top of the individual charts, we can deduce that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (no. 3 in individual formats) is <9,317 units. If we learn the split for Injustice, we can determine this number more exactly.

Using this, and the fact that Injustice dropped 26% this week and had a 53/47 split, we can determine that Injustice combined sold 13,789 units this week (which puts it over 70k LTD), and that the XB1 version sold 6,481 units and the PS4 version sold 7,308 units.

This means Horizon sold between 6,481 and 7,308 units, and MK8D sold just below 6,481 units.

That Tekken split.

Jesus, what's that about? It's huge. You would think it was a jrpg or something.

Some people will try to convince you otherwise when they hear others saying certain franchises are synonymous with the PlayStation brand. They are wrong.

I'm guessing SFV and other games like Guilty Gear being exclusive have pulled fighting game fans onto the PS4.
Plus Tekken has been associated with PS for a while.

I remember fighting games doing slightly better on the PS3 than X360 but that was apparently due to the D-Pad on the DS3 compared ot the 360's controller.

Yea, were there any deals on Horizon?
It's still over £40 on Amazon.

Great to still see it in the charts.

Re-entry for PS VR Worlds as well.
More PS VR stock or just tagging along with Farpoint?

Pretty low for Star Trek. I don't care about the franchise myself, but I assume people interested in sci-fi would be all over it.

We all knew Tekken was pretty much associated with PS but gad damn at that split.
Always nice to see Aloy back in the top 10.

I'm also surprised Bridge Crew is in top 20.
As a PSVR only game I expected it to debut lower but Farpoint was a case of a good VR game having alright week 1 sales.

I bought it this month for £30 from SimplyGames.

I'm glad to see Tekken 7 doing good. I still remember those countless hours, which I spent with my brother with Tekken 2/3.

..and I'm really looking forward to Crash Bandicoot sales.

A multiplayer-centric title for a £350 peripheral on one platform...I think it performed exceptionally at retail given those qualifiers. The fact that it's only 2 spots behind Tekken 7 on the xbox could be read into either way though ;-)

The OT suggests it's convincing a few Trekkies to purchase VR setups. Feel I'm missing out being ill and lacking free time to get into it and hope it's not all over with a few months from now.

So, is it possible to estimate Prey's legs given it's still charting?

No since there's nothing to compare it to and we don't see drops anymore.

One things for sure, almost everywhere has dropped the price, so legs or not, it's not doing any favours for the bottom line Bethesda wanted for it.

Shame about Surge dropping fast. Awell. Still a good game maybe it will grow over time.
Any idea how Lords of Fallen did in UK when released?

Well it looks like the UK market wasn't too hot for it either:

17 (NE) PS4 LORDS OF THE FALLEN (SQUARE ENIX EUROPE

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=924277

And it also didn't chart on the following week.

It's a shame but I hope it's performance is good to at least guarantee more games by Deck13, they are incredibly talented.

If Nioh didn't release Surge would've sold much better, people are satisfied with Nioh for Souls thirst like me so not looking to get Surge now, if it didn't exist I would've got Surge already

That Tekken split. *whistles through teeth*.

Some brands are just seen as console specific even when multiplatform it seems.

Glad to see Horizon resurge, just saw in another thread it's hit 3.4 million sales, well done GG!

It's mostly multiplayer? Okay, didn't know that, changes a lot. :)

I thought FIfa had a strong association with PS4, even with xbox having the marketing deal. Guess it worked out pretty good for MS.

All the big streamers play the Xbox version because of the exclusive FUT content and they have millions of kids following them and wanting to be like them.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
French chart for week 21 is here

http://www.sell.fr/

01. [PS4] Overwatch: Origins Edition
02. [PS4] Injustice 2
03. [NSW] Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
04. [NSW] Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers
05. [NSW] The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

It does. The major reason FIFA is seller better in the U.K. on Xbox is the consoles all pretty much come with it. It's the main sku by far. So the marketing deal worked out well for them like you say.

Horizon topping charts on Amazon monthly rankings for June in Germany currently with a price of EUR36,99 for Prime members.

Seems Germany is by far the best market for Hozizon
- 200K physical sales from the launch month
- 3rd in April monthly PAL Chart
- showing legs in June on Amazon after discount

Horizon will surely pass 500K physical at this by the end of the year
Tomorrow's May German charts it's most likely in the top 10 and it's likely to remain there in June(fewer big releases)
