They'll keep an eye on you and if you're wrong, banned.

I don't think the mods are as harsh as you think. crazybuttocks and famousmortimer were the only "insiders" I'm aware of who got banned for being wrong, and it's not even that they were just wrong, but that they doubled down even after indisputable evidence proved them wrong. And then the former got unbanned anyway.
