Definitely take a look at Technobabylon, it's another cyberpunk game from the same publisher.

I was already wary with "cinematic platformer" since that generally means gameplay takes a backseat to the setting and narrative and considering the setting and narrative of this game is going to be absolutely fucking stupid I think I'll pass. Also yeah, blade runner and the like are all about private interests placed above the individual and this is the... opposite?

You actually serious with this? It's one thing if there's a racist/sexist sitting in the office of a company, and completely another thing when a high-ranking member of said company is said person.

In the first case I couldn't buy anything anywhere anymore, in the second I take a stance against said company having said person in a high position. Best example that comes to mind is Palmer Luckey, which Oculus didn't distance themselves from.

It's fucking easy to say it's "just politics" or "I separate the artist from his views" when said views don't affect you.

Every time I see this sort of sentiment about GAF it seems like the people expressing it are bigoted in one way or another. People can be pretty zealous here, and I am not saying I have never rolled my eyes at a GAF barn burning, but I think there are a lot of people here that have pretty sophisticated, nuanced views.

Honestly. The game looks absolutely stunning. I'm loving the result of pixel art mixed with modern-day post-processing effects and lighting. However, the developer tweets I've been reading are not instilling confidence... Quite the opposite, actually. But this is the video-game industry. People will buy shit if it's hyped up enough.
