If this is related to the Sony rumor, then Sony's will be the one to look to.

I'm kidding, come on. In all seriousness, I don't see Capcom moving mainline MonHun to a home console after seeing how well it did on 3DS. But then again, I thought Pokemon Stars was definitely coming, so what do I know.

Nintendo's conference is tomorrow, child.
That's not the company every rumor has been talking about

Oh, I see!

Well, Sony has built a very good relationship with Capcom this generation, so maybe they decided to drop the ultimate moneyhat on them

After a generation of 240p MonHun, I don't know what I'd do with an HD effort on PS4. That would be fantastic.

That would be quite the money hat considering that MH games sell like crap on consoles when compared to it's sales on handhelds.

If they keep the same amount of dialogue that Monster Hunter has these days, I don't even want to imagine how long localization is going to take at that point. Like, damn, I'd worry for the VAs.

Well they don't have gibberish for every word or line of text in MH. I'd imagine only a small chunk would have any VA. Not that I think it'll actually happen, but it was an example of elements they could borrow from the console iterations.

Heck, I wish they'd incorporate QoL improvements that are a standard in other games. Why the hell can't I rejoin a hunt if the crappy P2P connection kicks me?

I honestly hope for a different approach to the formula so alongside MHXX and stories I will have many different approach to the same great universe among my 3ds, switch and ps4

It's the same reason they don't give you unlimited inventory on a hunt, it's so you don't go back and forth between hunts to restore items / use the limited resources you have per hunt. Shit ain't QoL, it's deliberately how they designed the game.

That's what I want, too.

Three different styles of MH games to look forward to!

There couldn't be a menu that allows an individual to rejoin without going back to the village/guild? Something along the lines of, "We've noticed you've left the mission. Attempt to rejoin or continue to village?" And that's assuming the game has no way of tracking loss of connection, which I believe it should, I'm not certain.

Easy workaround is just not allowing you to refresh your inventory before rejoining. It's not hard to solve.

Literally not hard to solve at all. It's 2017 and they should fix this shit because it's probably my biggest issue with the traditional games.

Oh shit I'm about to die!

*DC's and instantly rejoins*

Allowing you to rejoin would make it impossible to fail a quest in multiplayer.

Just have the character remain in the game world for a small amount of time before the model/hitbox disappears. Other online games do this to prevent people from exploiting/abusing it.

The thing is, which line is "mainline"? MH has historically been a series where no-subtitle was outperformed by Portable easily, and MH2P/MH3P did similar sales numbers to 4; I don't think it's safe at all to discount 5 and P5 as divergent development with P5 expected to do P2/P3/4 numbers while 5 is a shot at global sales, given that this was also what they did with 3.
