Seems like 4K on Xbox One X is a given since it's more powerful than the Pro.
I don't see their deal with conflicting with that. Of course, I also thought crossplay wouldn't be a problem with Sony so who knows.

It's Destiny, btw, and I'm sure that it'll run at 4k on the XBO X. They're probably just working on whether or not it'll be native or CB.
The Battlefront II devs have said they are not talking about the XBO X spec now also, I guess it's repeating their marketing deals which is fair enough but surely the nuts and bolts of a game wont, for that one it's double weird as they also say that you can get it early on EA Access.
The Destiny Devs did repeat it will be 30fps on all consoles just after that statement tho.

Yep, that would be them 100% intentionally holding the X version back..let's hope that's not the case.

A friend of mine said he saw the Geoff Keighley show and he confirmed 4K for both Pro and X. Anyone else saw it too?

Kinda of a weird thing to say, that the reason is that the console was announced a few days ago, when it's likely they have the devkits for a few weeks now, specially since they were already to confirm 30fps XD

If we compare this to Dice during the daily Xbox show saying they couldn't really go into detail about tech stuff for X version of Battlefront 2....is this any different?
It's still a bit odd though. After Destiny 2 got its reveal interviewers asked about the Scorpio and they told them to wait until after the reveal. So they did and we still don't know shit.

Probably the same way they couldn't for the PS4 Pro version of Battlefield 1. It just released one day.

They are just repeating what has been officially announced they don't know up to date stuff given their positions.
The question is whether pc will have better settings. If it has, they have multiple quality settings which should mean Scorpio gets higher settings than all other consoles.

The 4K 60FPS footage that nvidia posted looks insane. Only downside is the controller being used for cinematic effect.
They can't even do it with all of their first party games.

Downsampling is a system level feature that don't need devs interaction assuming you're talking about XB1X.

Especially when Sony also had the Destiny 1 marketing deal, the more powerful console, and both consoles still had graphical parity.
At worst, I would expect the same visuals as the PS4 Pro.

That's not whats happening - devs simply aren't allowed to talk about them outside of offhand remarks. It was the same for the Pro with games Microsoft had marketing deals with last year such as Battlefield 1 and FIFA 17. Hell, to this day people aren't aware the latter runs at native 4K on the Pro.
I wonder if they downsample from all higher resolutions or only from 4k.

And maybe the XBO X might have additional hi-res textures, since theyre also developing it for the PC. Its not like they will need to develop something specifically for the XBO X.
I doubt Sony and Bungie will do this. Both companies will obviously get flamed.
If theres going to be something like this, it would be a parity and not something like limiting the XBO X version to 1080p or something.
