Maybe some understand that in the real world business standards & practices aren't as black & white, good vs. evil as entertainment media would lead you to believe.

it's less about good/evil but more about "the fuck, the others aren't doing it so why are you, don't you get the purpose of different pricing per region"

wow, this reeks of that Arkham cover parody, needs more featuring Dante and Knuckles

A pro Dota 2 team just won a decently prestigious tournament picking 81 heroes in 17 games (so they only picked four heroes twice). Professional Dota is in an amazing place going into TI7 and I'm hyped.

Cleaned out my PC for what might be the first time this year and it was just embarrassing, dust filters on everything is my number 1 priority for my new case. Had to pull out the vacuum it was that bad.

Even with dust filters, I still have to clean out my case. A better solution would be to get compressed gas, and only hoover up the particles as they fly off.

Getting a Switch on Tuesday and Steam sale starts Thursday so a pretty fun week in video gaming.

Only problem is my backlog shrinking has been going pretty well so I don't want to buy too much. RE7 is on the list (why I want to poop my pants I'm not sure) and we'll see how strong I can be with $100 already in my Steam wallet.

Nobody plays games they bought in the steam sale until after they've been bundled for $1.

Yeah, I know there are quite a few Steam sale games I bought many years ago and still haven't touched :/

More reason to just buy just one or two AAA titles I've had my eye on and play them right away. Reminds me I need to get back to Prey before I forget how to play it...

Should I get Far Cry Primal this sale? I liked Far Cry 3 and 4 but every time I look at Primal I think "ehhhhhhhh".

Maybe I should get Rime.

Escape Goat is legit, as is the sequel (played earlier this year and was pleased they matched the testaments).

The optional / secret stuff in EG2 is legit absurdly hard, at least to adult me. Like, I can sometimes see what I'm supposed to be, but cannot actually do it :p

I approve both games are excellent and while the secret stuff in EG2 is hard, it is nowhere near as hard as the extra campaign that is unlocked once you beat EG1 ;)

Yeah that's how I did it, just blasted it with canned air and sucked up the dust in the air with a vacuum. I'm sure I'll have to clean it still which is fine but I just want something that at least has some filters to make it less of a mess, as mine has none.

Make sure you guys have a positive air flow into your case so it's not bypassing the air filters.

I stopped using compressed air after I managed to damage my CPU with it.
(Do not spray too close to the CPU fan)

Oh rock of ages, do not crumble, love is breathing still. Oh lady moon shine down, a little people magic if you will.
I have a strange history with the Assassin's Creed games. Played a little bit from almost every game but rarely more then a couple of hours.
I did finish a couple of the newer games but I haven't played a whole lot of the Desmond stuff. And what i've played, I barely remember.

I had a sudden craving to start playing the Original Assassin's Creed.
The thing I remember was a strange, unique and dark atmosphere.
I wasn't wrong. And I love it.

I'm running around Damascus/Jerusalem/Acre collecting flags when I see them, doing the missions I come across and climbing and jumping off everything remotely high.
That last part never gets old.

I'm having a ball.

Which i'm a bit surprised about since i've heard a lot of people say the original aged badly and was frustratingly repetetive.

This is one of those games that becomes so much better when you turn the HUD off.
There are a lot of audio-visual clues to your goals in the cities and you shouldn't gather every piece of intelligence.

Also, just like Unity did for me with the French Revolutions; this game succesfully made me want to learn more about The Third Crusade.

I only finished like one Assassination back in the day, now four Templars lie at my feet. I've already surpassed my past self.

Altaïrs still a dick, though.

Fucking love that game. One of the best puzzle platformers ever made. There's enough brilliance in there to teach at schools about game-design.
Underrated and sadly often overlooked piece of god-tier entertainment.

I enjoyed it.

It started well.

Then a made-up recipe appeared.

Yeah, well, this just shows that judging popularity based on #reviews/year is not good. Rather than changing this criterion, let us pile another hack on the faulty hack.

If someone wants his re-release game from the 90s to appear on the list, one just has to change the release date. Amazing.

Alright, stop it... The filtering is already completely made up so that you would find the games which you want to find in the list.

Ok, that's it for me.

how is Pain it Back not popular? It blows my mind.

It is not getting enough Steam reviews per year...

Very glad to read this impression. I just set up the game myself and set up my controls on the Elite controller. It'll take a little time getting used to, but I can't wait to visit Jerusalem, Acre and Damascus. I never completed it but intend on doing so before Origins comes out. I was also surprised by the intro and what a dick Altair was to Malik and Kadar. I didn't remember that and thought he would have been a favorite assassin of mine, but if he keeps up this attitude I'll grow to hate him lol.

Progressed some more in Uncharted 2 and completed the Train section. Yeah that part still holds up, but the overall game progression and level design (if you could call it that) is pretty dull.
I stopped after that section because I knew the next one would be the usual 'stay in cover and shoot at baddies' and I've already done that :V

Death's Gambit continues to toy with my emotions by still being slotted with the 19th releases...

When looking for a new monitor, should I be looking for a 1440p or 4K one?

What else should I be looking for? Hz and response time?

Only fuckbois aren't buying this game now. One of the best CRPGsin ages.

Unless it gets the same percentage discounted on steam summer sale (which I find a bit hard to believe), I think it's safe to say it will be the cheapest price for a bit and I agree with you Hektor about the game. It's very good for what I have read.

looking at my wishlist and current savings (sorry Gabe, gonna buy a Switch), looks like I'll focus more on DLCs

which of the Cities DLC are the expacs? the more expensive ones?
